Right...because capturing a former Tal Shiar agent from an Empire that had perfected paranoia is just a cake walk, right?Wonder why they apparently don't go after Laris. Picard's girlfriend should have been one of the biggest targets![]()

SEVEN: I can do better than that. Look who I found in a transporter buffer"Seven, you board and pilot the NX-01. Besides, with your Borg knowledge you might know how to fly a ship that old better than any of us."
It's not. It turns out it's the human-shaped android body they were building in "Return to Tomorrow(TOS)" to contain the consciousnesses of Sargon's people.
Why bother pulling that stunt with Deanna in the Shrike's brig?
Obviously Riker is not dumb enough to think it's really her, and I suspect Vadic is also not dumb enough to think he'd fall for it.

Enter Travis Mayweather.
EVERYONE: Who?
So a store mannequin from "Spearhead From Space"?Picard gets a golem, Kirk gets a TOS era version…
That's what she wants you to believe.Laris isn't important enough to capture

Which is why it probably is really her. Which Riker can check for with his Imzadi telepathy, which is rarely shown and I don’t think has ever been explained to anyone else in the show. I sort of hope that is precisely what he does.
I need a scene where the characters board the NX-01 and start fiddling with the controls until they accidentally turn on the transporter, causing a very confused beagle to materialize on the platform.SEVEN: I can do better than that. Look who I found in a transporter buffer

Flashback to 2002: I'm watching Nemesis and I don't like it. We're getting to the end. Data's died. Riker's trying to remember the tune from when he first met Data in "Encounter at Farpoint" and says he can't remember. So they're remembering Data and they have Riker not remembering something. And only Troi cries. I get the "manly men don't cry" thing, but they needed some more of it looking like they're trying to hold back. Like Kirk at the end of TWOK where you can see he's just barely holding it together during the Eulogy. To quote Jammer, "Sometimes less is more, but this time less is less." So all those things bother me, but the main thing that bothered me was Riker not remembering something. Couldn't he have talked about something he did remember?
Present Day: It looks like Terry Matalas has finally corrected this and he goes out of his way to show Riker remembering to whistle "Pop Goes the Weasel!" So now Riker finally remembers! And good thing he did, or they wouldn't have been able to get to DataLoreM5B4LalAlton. Some people might think this was over-the-top "memberberrying" but I disagree. I think they corrected something I had a problem with at the end of NEM. Not a major problem, but a problem nonetheless that didn't help things at the end of watching Nemesis.
Terry had a whole list of things he wanted to address if he was only going to get 10 episodes to do it, and it shows. That doesn't speak to weakness on Picard's part. That speaks to the weakness of the way the TNG Movies left things. Picard had a mess to clean up -- let's be honest -- and it's cleaned things up masterfully.
The Darkness could be referring to something else. Like who is commanding the Changelings.
That's just how these new shows are lighted. In one of the TNG previews Deanna says there's darkness on the ship .Now we know it's changeling s on the Shrike I'm curious if this will be shown in the show the Dominion.I'm curious about Vadic's back story.
