Spoilers Ready Room with Wil Wheaton

I doubt it’s Shatner because he always seems to want too much money to show up. IIRC thats one reason why Shatner did not play chef on ENT.

It would *not* break my heart if its Pine Kirk. Granted Chris Pine might want movie money for it, but he's also a bit slim on the ground in roles since WW84 flopped.

He's got Dungeons and Dragons coming out this month. Doubt the man's hurting.

I don't expect Kirk (or Shatner) to show up in the final episodes although I would be thrilled if he did.

However, the way the scene was depicted, with the musical cue and the TOS medical sounds, and the "Phoenix" project, and the proximity to the Genesis II torpedo...

If Matalas wants to remedy what many felt was a disappointing team-up between Kirk and Picard in "Generations", then he has already put everything in place to have Kirk appear with a minimum of exposition.

I'm just glad Kirk was retrieved by Project Phoenix. My imagination can do the rest, whether or not the character (or the actor) ever return.

Yep, I enjoyed the Shatner books.

Like I said earlier, I don't expect Kirk to show up here. I do appreciate the easter egg as a coda to "Generations" which gives the possibility that Kirk's adventures might not have ended in a movie I found very disappointing. Kirk is my favorite fictional character and I love the idea of endless possibilities for his return in the 25th century. If the easter egg does nothing more than that, Matalas has my gratitude.

Yup. "Critically injured" is definitely more clearcut.

Well, people in critical condition have been critically injured. People who are dead are fatally injured. Anyway, S31 is hauling in corpses for something called "Project Phoenix", and I doubt that means they're encasing the bodies in carbonite for statues...

Will Shatner make a cameo? Nope. Chris Pine? Slim to none. Paul Wesley? The most probable, but given the fangasm that this season is, no one would want to see him. So, I guess it's left for our imaginations
