Daystrom Station is a warehouse of failed Gene Roddenberry pilots.
Genesis II indeed!

She also doesn't need Picard, a retired Admiral, or Jack, who isn't even Starfleet, to Starkiller up the fleet on Frontier Day. With them already chain linking the fleet and the weapons Vadic has at her disposal, the fleet is as good as dead anyway. The idea that the Changelings want Picard's body and Jack because of Iromudic Syndome doesn't make sense to me. Vadic expressedly talks about Starfleet ships being destroyed. You don't use a disease for that.
I am Gene's Vision, Destroyer of Worlds... Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!Gene's Vision™ is in Daystrom Station somewhere. Just waiting. Hoping to be unleashed.
I really, really hope not. There's fanservice, and then there's something so far beyond fanservice that it cannot be described. I really don't want to see Kirk in this show.My guess: in the final episode, James T. Kirk will return..! His dead body (uncovered on Veridian) will be brought back to life, and he will play a part in defeating the rogue Changelings..!
That could be amusing. But...no. No Kirk, please.I would use Chris Pine.![]()
So did I.When that alien with the phaser pointed at Riker shot the others and begin to shapeshift I really thought for a second it was going to be Odo. (Obviously wouldn't be Rene, but having seen those pics before and reading people thinking he could play a 'fully human form' of Odo... I actually thought it was about to happen for a split second.

God-level fanwankery, with an extra portion of fanwankery?I really, really hope not. There's fanservice, and then there's something so far beyond fanservice that it cannot be described. I really don't want to see Kirk in this show.

Maybe Starfleet Intelligence or Temporal Investigations or both thought that since Kirk was a time traveler from the past that leaving his body on a planet that one day might be visited by the inhabitants of Veridian IV after they develop space travel might be a risk of cultural contamination. Also: it's James T. Kirk. You don't just leave him under a pile of rocks on an uninhabited, arid planet for the rest of time and eternity.
I can't wait until the end. I really am fascinated by the effervescent descriptions around the fan service here. It is a unique experience among recent seasons. This episode was fan service, sure. But, like "Trials and Tribble-ations", it was fan service done right.
So Picard versus Locutus, hmm?
