Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

I had a thought about this more and more, the rogue Changelings do not want Jack dead, but rather seem to be hunting him for something, I initially thought through fear but seems more like he has something that is make or break for them as they are wary around him and are avoiding killing him.

I keep seeing the nanoprobe theory around here and I wonder if the nanoprobes did something the Picard's spooge, not meaning his swimmers are robotic but have some sort of augmentation and this has been passed onto Jack who has some biological equivalent of nanoprobes where he can alter his cells at will, similar to what Changelings can do, ergo he is important to them as he holds the key to solids becoming shapeshifters naturally through evolution and the Borg have tapped into this and also want Jack to connect with them. Vadic and the gang do want Jack to connect because if the Borg get this ability and start reproducing naturally with it, they could destroy the Changelings.

I still there is an Armus connection with him being the one behind controlling them all on some level for vengeance of being cast off years ago and has infected them all to ensure he becomes one with them again.

I have this theory but it doesn’t explain Jack.

There are a LOT of changelings, many more than DS9. Doesn’t sound like a splinter group. Hundreds? Thousands? So what could it be? We know very little about Founder society.

The Romulans have Tal Shiar. Feds have Section 31. I am thinking this is the Founder equivalent taking on the fight against the Federation. It fits logically and thematically.

Their limitations and differences come either deliberately for some advantage we don’t know or from separation from the Great Link.

They desperately want to capture Jack. And not kill him. So he must be important to the mission or the Link. Dunno why though.

I think Beverly's heritage is in play here. Matalas has said he liked the episode "Sub Rosa" from TNG. He also said he enjoyed "Pre-emtive Strike" which featured Ro Laren - and we all know how that ended up. Some occult mixture of her heritage and possibly Picard's Borg history.

Another wild, but grounded speculation. Commodore's late wife was killed in the synth attack of Utopia Planitia Ship Yards and he has become SUPER protective of his daughters and more risk averse. Maybe he in some ways blames Picard for that because of his connection to the Romulans. Thats it.. thats the tweet. haha.

Something Short Android Body
Short is shorter than Body
soooo... Tasha Yar? :D
Who else has a 3 letter last name?

Wil said next week's actor on the Ready Room is someone he can't even say the name of as it would be a spoiler.
Another legacy actor returning I guess.

The next episode was leaked to be titled
Dominion. Could be Remy Auberjonois, taking up his father's role

Someone on production said, after the Ro episode dropped, that someone "even bigger" is coming, and he can't believe it hasn't been leaked.

In terms of someone who would fit the show, another cloned Weyoun showing up would make logical sense. Certainly Jeffery Combs is always up for a role in Trek, and he would be a logical person to introduce if you wanted the Dominion to be back. I don't think Combs returning for another show would be a big shock, any more than seeing Martok though - they have close connections to fandom after all.

Lots of DS9 characters would make sense in a Dominion-focused episode, but we all know who the giant shock would be - the man who walked away from DS9 and had virtually nothing to do with the franchise again. Who had unresolved bad blood with Picard. Who might make sense if (as has been hinted) there's some Pah-Wraith stuff going on with Jack as well.

After the Kirk tease this week, anyone other than Shatner would be a let down, honestly speaking. You don't just hint at something like that and not follow up
