Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

Something Short Android Body
Short is shorter than Body
soooo... Tasha Yar? :D
Who else has a 3 letter last name?
All those Romulan storylines from Nemesis onwards would have been the perfect opportunity to bring Sela back (not counting Armada. And Online. And a graphic novel. And the books)

The next episode Dominion will have a heavy spoiler character...

Think it could be Kirk, Dukat or the Female Founder from DS9.
Considering the episode is titled "Dominion", i guess either Mark Alaimo or Salome Jens (or both??) are the most likely ;)

Maybe Vadic will be revealed as being the female changeling, taking on her old humanoid shape from DS9.

Salome Jens is 87, and hasn't done any work since 2016. I think she's probably too old for a role now.

The individual identity of changelings was always kind of iffy in DS9 wasn't it? This makes recasting changelings a bit more forgivable.

That said, the Female Changeling was - last we checked - imprisoned and separate from the Great Link. Vadic's psychology also seems to be rather startlingly different from that of the Female Changeling to me.

I suppose there are two possibilities. One is that the final villain hasn't been seen yet. The other is they're hiding in plain sight as part of the cast.

They're not going to ruin the TNG reunion by having it be one of the old cast, so that leaves:

Shaw
Jack
One of Geordi's kids

My vote is for Jack, because, well..come on.

Might be, because she could have been partly possessed by Gul Dukat. Some of her antics reminded me a lot on Dukat. Only that he never smoked

With his irumodic syndrome defect repaired and thus fixing Jack also?

Exactly. Maybe something involving the Changelings. Once they get passed whatever confrontation is coming, at the end, Picard helps them and in return they help Jack with his irumodic syndrome, and as a result they now have a cure and Picard can reawaken back in his human body. The Altan Soong part of Datalore will known enough about his work to perform the consciousness transfer with memories intact.
What you described isn't a retcon.

Fair point. Well then, 'repair' some plot points which a lot of fans disliked, whatever word you want to use for that.

  • After the Ro drop, someone on Twitter in production said a cameo "even more amazing" is coming up, that he couldn't believe it was kept under wraps.
So, a cameo by definition is a small part (usually played by someone famous). Cameos are usually notable because of the famous person but usually don't have a large impact on the plot (i.e., it's a small role). I wonder how important this cameo can be to this season?

It's an interesting dichotomy--"even more amazing" but still a "cameo."

Somewhat down to semantics. Like, I wouldn't call Michelle Forbes appearing as Ro a "cameo."

Sorry, I'm probably just getting caught up on the words.

What about Worf?

He'd want the honor of dying as a Klingon warrior.

Its definitely going to be one of the DS9 crew as the big surprise in ep 7. Bashir is likely given his knowledge of changeling biology and Alexander Siddig still acts prolifically. It could also be Dax as Ezri is someone Worf could trust to aid the Titan crew.
