The only way I can see them being able to hide a potential Kirk appearance is if there is an Indiana Jones 5 style cgi de-aging of Shatner . Perhaps he only provides voice work. An actual on set appearance would likely too hard to keep under wraps

He filmed his scenes in his barn against a green screen after he got back to Earth. After he stopped giggling at the irony.

Music motifs were spot on in the Museum. I really must get the soundtrack to this season.

It must have something to do with the Borg, probably Picard's old body still had something inside it that they never knew about, and it somehow got passed onto Jack, and the Changelings want it.

Why didn't the ships the Titan encountered at Daystrom follow the Titan? In the past, ships were able to pursue other ships at warp...why couldn't they follow?

Perhaps they were under orders to defend Daystrom Station, not pursue.

A lot of fan service this episode, but I'm all for it considering the last two seasons we got nada. Once again the new ships look cool too and the idea that they could track them if they tag them was a nice idea for patrol ships. I was worried they were going to leave the mystery of what was recovered till the next episode and drag it out, but they unveiled it leaving us with more questions. Is Troi actually Troi or a changeling game? I'm sure that question will be answered rather quickly.

The "integration of ships" was very Battlestar, once again a character brings up the entire fleet gathering in one location. Why do I get the feeling it is going to get very Doctor Who-y and they're going to have all those museum pieces fly in to save the day ala Day of the Doctor? Those ships aren't going to be integrated - again very Battlestar.

Overall a fun episode.

My thoughts exactly. They knew the Titan was there for a reason and might have 'dropped' someone off so they were checking. They seemed to pursue the Titan after they beamed them out.

Betting that they want Picard's body to use the leftover Borg tech to hijack the fleet on Frontier day to decimate Earth and Starfleet.

Picard et al will need to use the museum ships to stop it, with a rebuilt Enterprise-D being the flagship. Worf will captain the Defiant, Seven will captain Voyager, Jack might end up with Enterprise-A.

The Seven monologue is how you do fan service, it would have been easy to just show the ships, have the characters gush over them and that's it. But it served a purpose and wasn't just "OH MY GOD ITS THE VOYAGER!". It was also neat how they put in ships that likely did legendary things but we never heard of like the USS New Jersey, it is a small thing but it's something that is lacking in a lot of shows these days and helps with world building. Not everything needs to be a reference to something we know.

I guess Shaw's trauma over Locutus is gonna go into overdrive on that day.

There's a crashed cube on Coppelius and countless drones in space from s1 if they want that. also jurati's group

Things might be different now. Prodigy shows that warp speeds and rules have changed a lot.

Worf and Geordi's reunions with Crusher were too warm and ignored that she ghosted them for 20 years to spite Picard

What's the 4th and 5th?
No idea what the 4th one is. The 5th one, however, looks like Sulu's Excelsior to me. Or possibly the Enterprise-B / Lakota.
