Blood samples never worked. The Martok-Changeling cut his hand open and dripped blood on the ward room table in “The Way of the Warrior.”

Yeah, I don't think they're even mentioned once the war starts. Changeling infiltration just doesn't seem to be a factor, unless you count Odo doing it to the Dominion.

Aside from the Founder leader, did we even see any in DS9 season 6 or 7? Laas was one of the Hundred so he doesn't count.

Makes sense that Starfleet developed the more accurate sensor scans that Shaw mentions in this episode.

Where would the escape pods on a Constellation class be located?

They have giant doors all around the saucer so plenty of room.

I'm starting to think this Titan "refit" scenario is a trial run to explain how Strange New Worlds' Enterprise becomes TOS Enterprise. :p

That would just be 1979 style in reverse pretty much though. And welding the sodding silly window shut xD

I always took the lack of Changeling infiltration and subterfuge later in the war (and the later seasons) as being due to Section 31's virus spreading throughout the Great Link and all the Changelings in the Alpha Quadrant either dying or falling as ill as the Female Founder.

Odo states the virus accelerates the more they change shape. And it didn't take long for Odo to start suffering the effects, and what he was infected with (which is supposed to have happened during Season 4's "Homefront") presumably was engineered to make him a long-term carrier.

Ah yes the old 'divert power from life support' idea which is used in every other star trek episode, seen here drawn out for several hours! It's a very shallow concept; needed a more epic or clever conundrum and solution, not this tired old story. Come on! Don't know if this is laziness or stupidity on the writers' parts.

Pardon me, but this season we are looking at nostalgia, cliches and Trek's greatest hits.

Newness and epicenes are not on the menu. :vulcan:

There should at least have been a scene of the characters floating around, gasping for air as if Darth Vader were choking them, etc. But that shot probably would've pushed the budget of the episode up.

Link above is the Space Seed scene of life support being cut off to the bridge. Terry is going for the greatest hits route here.
So Vadic was talking to…herself?

"She's crazzzy."*

*works better in Olaf voice.

That ain’t happening. It was just Matalas’s way of explaining why the ship doesn’t look like the Luna class and yet is still Riker’s ‘old command.’

Maybe these chunky diarrheans' version of the Great Link has highly ritualized long distance telepathy.
