I enjoyed this episode better than the previous few. The juvenile Gorn were a good way to maintain Trek history (which I still think they will break) for awhile longer. This was tense and there was a surprise twist.

I was hoping the Gorn wouldn't be so 1-dimensional: after all, they were fighting invaders on Cestus III, but I think the other side of the coin is: the producers did not want another reintroduction of a villain gone wrong like the Ferengi. No chances were given. I'm OK with seeing where this goes.

9/10

They should have just got permission from Disney to make an Alien crossover. Would have been way better

I don't think disney or james cameron cares. the show is not popular or mainstream enough to attract attention for disney to sue. in fact i think the show not been mainstream may work best to the show favour as it keeps some jaring flaws and misfire of the show under wraps.

people dont even know paul wesley is now playing the iconic jim kirk, they still see him as the vampire dude from The Vampire Dairies and with all the attention michelle yeoh is getting lately...she may even win an oscar for best actress next sunday, the media barely references her time on star trek discovery. so most of mainstream media sees steaming star trek as invincible or barley relevant and star trek discovery was...is their flag ship series that had some established actors.

But yeah, season 9 was a rip off of Aliens without having thre James Cameron touch.

I think if this was DC comics or a HBO show, they may sue

But Disney gets like more than a 100 million views per minute. Why should they care of a show that likely gets maybe less than 1 million views per episode.
Disney won't sue. dont worry.
It doesn't matter how many views, if they don't protect their copyright they can lose it.

Anyways no one here says they're going to sue SNW.

Disney is the reason Howard the Duck wears pants and looks like Beavis from Beavis and Butthead
They also now own Howard, but still make him wear pants.
@cooleddie74 can relate. ;)

Because they must protect their copyrighted materials.
Can we just agree that in SNW case, disney just dont care. SNW is no threat to them. heck, they may not even have heard or seen this show. it is only us sci fiction fans that were able to spot the jarring similarities.

They don't care because SNW hasn't violated their copyright.

They sued a daycare over using Donald Duck on their wall. It doesn't matter to them how small something is.

Its like some of you want disney to sue or something. that will be bad for paramount.
No one here wants that at all, where are you getting that from?
