In that photo it looks like its an incect is birthing a baby ship. This image by Enethrin on DeviantArt really shows one of the big problems I have with the Odyssey-class design... its stupid fat wedge-shaped saucer. I honestly think it would look much better with a more classically shaped saucer as with this redesign.

Generally I don't mind the basic shape but I find all the STO stuff to be too busy. Too many different shades on the hull and weird jots.
Thanks for adding this.Yes, and like all ships in STO, you can kitbash them with the others in their type.

To reflect the passage of time while paying service (fan service) to the Enterprise's history. Using the E would have led to the questions of why wasn't Picard and crew onboard her this whole time? So, they bypass it, retire the E and then retire the F. Leaves room for any other stories they want to tell and acknowledge the passage of time.So according to this new Star Trek Logs Instagram post, the Enterprise-F launched in 2386 and she's "scheduled for decommissioning... the Enterprise-F's final flight will be... during this year's Frontier Day."
So those clips of the Enterprise-F are of her being DECOMMISSIONED!? Why the hell even use the F then!? Reason #47 why they should have just stuck with the E!![]()
