Meh...at this point even watching the show sounds a lot like work.

You guys aren't the target audience for these YouTube channels. However, in trying to sell the season to people that have given up on NuTrek, they are revealing some spoilers and behind the scenes information that may also be of interest to people here (and especially those lurking) that happen to be fans of say Discovery.I don't understand what value these youtubers add to anyone's experience with the show.
The show will reveal itself shortly. Those who supposedly hate "nuTrek" and their ilk will not be persuaded by clips like this. They'll watch it, hate it and keep those channels alive. It's been going on for so long it's a self-perpetuating cycle. The only way change will happen is to watch it and think for yourself.
They're out of their minds. Some have commented on twitter that they are going to hate it no matter what. I saw a comment that said they will hate all Trek that involves Kurtzman as producer. Some people have already made up their minds that Star Trek ended in 2005 to them.
I'd say the goal was for RMB to interest the Critical Drinker enough into giving PICARD another look, and he succeeded. Those who supposedly hate "nuTrek" and their ilk will not be persuaded by clips like this. This is the specific argument made by the guys at the Popcast channel, and that Terry Matalas is so good you'll want him making more Star Trek.I think Rick Berman is a scumbag, but I can still like Berman Trek. They can do the same with Kurtzman Trek. They're not going to like whoever eventually replaces him either. If anything, they'll like the next person even less, assuming they're still alive. Some of them are getting pretty up there in age.
At the end of the day, it's not about Rick Berman or Alex Kurtzman. It's about who they have working under them: those are the people who make the real difference and are being overlooked.
No one here gives a fuck what he thinks. We won't know if the hype is real until that Diktor von Doomcock early review drops ...
I've been told he doesn't look at Trek anymore. But, let's say he did. The hype will be real. Why? Because he'll give it a 2 out of 10 instead of a 1 out of 10!We won't know if the hype is real until that Diktor von Doomcock early review drops ...
The last time this topic came up on this thread, it was locked. Maybe the Neutral Zone would be a better venue to further explore this?I've been told he doesn't look at Trek anymore. But, let's say he did. The hype will be real. Why? Because he'll give it a 2 out of 10 instead of a 1 out of 10!
I wasn't interested in talking about Doomcock, just teasing Tuvix. Don't worry about it. He and I don't agree about anything. But we're not going to go on for pages and pages and pages about it and it's not going to erupt into a Flame War or anything like that. The last time this topic came up on this thread, it was locked. Gotcha, and yes, now that I can finally see TNZ after hearing about it since 2006 I don't blame you.I wasn't interested in talking about Doomcock, just teasing Tuvix. Don't worry about it. I don't post in TNZ. Don't really want to either.
