Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

I hope that Enterprise - F bridge won't be Stargazer copy-past as Titan - A.

They can do 90% CGI bridge.

Wild speculation?

Amanda Plummer's Captain Vadic is a So'na / Ba'ku, possibly the daughter of Ru'afo, who was allowed to return to Ba'ku along with the other surrendered exiles after the events of ST: Insurrection.

She tried living the simple life on Ba'ku, and eventually her skin started to heal and she began to de-age over the next 25 years (but she still has surgical scars on her face), but she could never let go of her rage and desire for vengeance against Picard for ruining their plans and/or killing her father.

She learns of the destruction of the So'na Empire (those who did not choose to give up their technology and power and return to Ba'ku) in a revolt by its subject species, and this events triggers her to steal one of the derilict So'na ships in orbit using a concealed transporter.

She gathers a crew from the few remaining loyalists / collaborators among the former conquered species (who wear facemasks to hide their identities and inspire fear) and sets out to destroy Picard and everyone he loves.

You can even retcon it to say the unidentified woman So'na on the bridge in Insurrection was her, pre-de-aging.

The likelihood of this being what's happening is virtually nill, but the thread did ask for wild speculation.

Not bad! And from their perspective, the Federation first worked with them and then against them. All because of Picard.

That article is pure speculation. There's nothing to substantiate bad guys taking control of the Enterprise. I hate these sites that pass themselves off as "news".

And considering that Matalas has already stated that the focus of the season is NOT the Enterprise, then it makes GFR look even more stupid than they already are.

We won't know until the season airs in February.

Anything's possible (Who could've predicted the bulk of the Picard S1 cast getting the heave-ho after S2?)

Definitely wild.

Even though Vadic is new, I bet there's going to be a TNG connection that's going to be make the half the audience think, "Wow! How didn't I see that before?", and the other half think, "They shoehorned that in!"

oh, that’s totally what it’s gonna be. Some kind of deep pull that would make the Lower Decks folk proud. Like “oh my god, your Groppler Zorn’s daughter…”

I still think she'll be someone effected by the Dominion War, something Picard/the Federation did off screen during.

Terry has said there would be follow up to the war in the season.

Ooh ooh, further ass pull:

Vadic's soldiers are So'na clones of the Jem'Hadar who are substandard so they don't have the cloaking ability and wear masks to hide the So'na's cloning program (and to surprise the audience). They are controlled by the So'na's New Coke brand of Ketracel White first produced during the Dominion War, which is how they got the Jem'Hadar DNA.

That's where the TV-MA comes in. Yar ended up having multiple partners, and...

... that took an unpleasant turn. Especially since she was captured and there against her will! Nothing would be consensual in that type of circumstance. Not the way I want Yar to end up. I'm against this idea.

EDITED TO ADD: The only way it "works" (and I use the term loosely) is if a Human Male tried to rescue Yar from her Romulan Husband/Not-Husband, they fell in love, had sex, then he was caught and killed. Yar would then carry the baby, and the Romulan Husband/Not-Husband would think it's his child, until the baby is born and he finds out. Yar tries to escape, tries to take Sela with her, then that's why she tried to escape in the first place and that's why she was executed.

Sounds like a really bad soap-opera. This is like Days of Our Lives or As the World Turns territory.
