Spoilers She-Hulk: Attorney at Law discussion thread

It's the paralegal/law clerk's job to interview, get the backstory, find the details like that. You don't pay a lawyer hundreds of dollars an hour to put together a summary of what happened.

If Nikki had even gotten to speak to him at all (which seems unlikely given the pressure GLK/H was apparently put under by Daddy), she likely wouldn't have known to ask about the fuel anyway. He clearly didn't realize he'd made a mistake in using that instead of whatever Luke instructed, so it never came up.

A good paralegal might have asked if he tampered with the device in any way or followed the instructions to prevent exactly what happened. Barring Matt's hyperactive senses any good lawyer would have explored that issue of misuse of the device in any way or form when it comes to a lawsuit involving malfunction of something in an effort to shift blame to the buyer/user of that equipment ( at least i would and i'm as far from being a lawyer as i possibly can be).

But as has been established here thw writers knew jack shit about the law and just wrote a funny story - it is par for the course for Hollywood to ignore realism if it stands in the way of the story and the reason why i love watching Youtube clips of professionals ripping apart movies and shows. Watch Legal Eagle's Youtube channel for legal reviews of anything, he's quite entertaining but also explains it well for everybody who's not been to law school.

TV/Netflix Matt was not always serious but he sure didn't make witty oneliners during or before a fight
Yeah...that's literally what I just said.
Anyone else think Todd is behind the Intelligensia stuff? He's wealthy, a douche, and has been rejected by Jen multiple times.
What you mean the clearly narcissistic misogynist guy that specifically asked if vibranium could pierce her skin right after she gets jumped in an attempt to pierce her skin, and then goes out and buys a vibranium weapon? Nope! Nothing sus going on there! ;)

I also wonder if Jen's aggressiveness in court is in part down to her having been a prosecuting attorney for the DA's office. She still has an approach fit for that job but it is one that doesn't lend itself to wheedling and compromise or to thinking on the defensive for that matter.

TV/Netflix Matt was not always serious but he sure didn't make witty oneliners during or before a fight - that is MCU all the way. The MCU just has a lighter tone than the Netflix shows and since we now have two versions of the character played by the same actor the differences are much more noticeable.

The difference here of course is he already knows that Jen is a good guy and also he wants to have sex with her.

This Daredevil isn't the Netflix Daredevil. Close but I think the Netflix stuff is set in another universe in the Multiverse. I hope when he gets his new show though we also get the same Foggy and Karen Page actors as well and they don't recast or leave them out of the new show.

Actually I think it's true. I think it's been confirmed that these Netflix characters might be different versions of the ones we have seen. I mean they will be close enough to be the reasons we liked them on their shows.

I don't think they will make a big deal out of it. I think it will be one of those things that hardcore fans pick up on and notice little changes but casual viewers won't think to much about and will just assume MCU versions and the Netflix versions are the same.

Unless they want to do some multiverse stuff in the shows. The MCU is going big with Multiverse stuff this phase so I guess that is also a possibility.

But they could really change things. Like alter his backstory if they want. Maybe he has never meet Karen Page or Foggy in this universe or what if they do something like gender swap Foggy. That would be hard to explain in terms of the new show and old show being set in the same universe. You can explain it away with the Multiverse though.

I don't understand how someone who watched Daredevil through season 3 could have a problem with Matt in She-Hulk. It's a natural progression from where we last saw him. Attention spans seem to be in short supply recently.

Man-baby neckbeards are easily upset by a woman showing any kind of independence, individuality or being focused on in any way.

It's not as basic/blunt as Supergirl, but the only way that the writers room can prove Feminism is by making male characters who are just fucking awful, and then they say and do things that not even Ron Burgundy could say with a straight face.

But if they didn't do that, then nothing would happen, and we'd have a 28 minute episode of Jennifer proofing legal briefs.

I actually enjoy this pageantry, but I can identify pandering for what it is.
