That should be a line in the show:

Seven: "I'm much more soldier than diplomat."
Picard: "You have that much in common with Admiral Kirk."
    Seven: "Who's 'Admiral Kirk'?"
Picard: "Admiral James T. Kirk. One of the leading lights of Starfleet."

    ( ... )

Picard: "You two have a lot in common. Like you, he considered himself much more of a soldier than an explorer. You would do well to read a biography of him."

I'm guessing Titan's unseen CO is gonna be Brent Spiner's new character?

Matalas more or less said the Titan CO was a 12 Monkeys alumni. That would rule out Spiner.

Re: La Sirena, I'm expecting it to pop up somewhere in the season when they need to go on an undercover mission or something, get one last use out of the sets.

Raffi is apparently undercover this season, so yeah she may have it.

Very nice. Like the information about the Constitution III class:
Also that it is designed to be maneuverable with those engines which is a touch that I like. A reason for that blocking.

And speaking of reasons and nostalgia:

Oh, Terry, you are asking for trouble. Starfleet Engineers do not look backwards. That is just not logical! :guffaw:

He also says the spacedock in the trailer replaced the old one. We’ll find out what happened to the old one.

The Titan’s so far unseen captain will be a major character

Frakes speaks Trekspeak like Stewart with Othello. The man is in love with the nitty-gritty of this franchise.

My prediction: Miles O'Brien will join the cast, but he now has two heads, one of which only speaks Portuguese. No one will acknowledge this shift in his character, and fans who request the story behind the change will be brushed off as notpickers obsessing over needless details.

So basically, I'm hoping for some of the following to be touched on. Not necessarily explained in detail, just vaguely addressed.
    • Why Beverly and Jean-Luc, despite their mutual feelings, were never to last as a couple (even in the alternate future of "All Good Things")
    • Why the hell Starfleet didn't want Seven of Nine (but took Icheb), and how she found her way to the Fenis Rangers
    • Ro Laren and Tom Riker. Some hint at their fates.
    • Tasha Tar and/or Sela. Denise Crosby is returning for this season, I think, but no word on how her character has returned.

Terry said there would be nods to Tasha this season. I’m still just thinking a hologram on the Ent-D museum

Icheb applied to the Academy even back in the DQ and went through all that tedious stuff like writing history reports, he didn't really display this "I was Borg and know everything already" attitude like Seven. Plus he never was a "full" Borg drone including the assimilation of people. I guess Seven could have joined the Academy as well, but that would have been awkward for everyone involved. And Starfleet didn't want to give her a field commission. I agree though, more info on the Fenris Rangers would be cool. I wish they revived the Short Trek format for them.

My understanding for Seven not being in Starfleet was that she gave up because of the Borg thing, Janeway tried to bat for her but Seven gave up and joined the Rangers.

The way Season 2 handles Jean Luc provides a bit of an answer for why he and Beverly never went anywhere, he failed to let her in hence their marriage failing in All Good Things and never going anywhere in the primary timeline.

If RMB was right about the 250th anniversary but not what it’s for, maybe it’s the NX-01’s launch? 2401 would be 250 years after the ships launch.

    edit:
Wait, season 2 was 2401, and season 3 is a year later… never mind

It’s the 250th anniversary of Archer’s gazelle speech in 2152. Got to be.

It’s not impossible it IS the anniversary of the launch of the NX-01 though, some promo blurb for season 2 gave the year as 2400, and I’m sure someone mentioned that year later in the season (Rios maybe?). I think the 2401 year comes from the boxes of wine at the vineyard in the first episode.

So maybe the 3rd season is actually meant to be 2401? I don’t know. It wouldn’t be out of the question to launch the Enterprise-F on the anniversary of the launch of the first Enterprise.
