Ncuti Gatwa is the 15th Doctor

Murray Goldmusic applied to footage of Ncuti Gatwa performing Shakespeare giving us some vague idea how he might play the Doctor. Being a stage performance, Gatwa has to project, so the lines seem more like the grand orations the Doctor made at Stonehenge, Akhaten, and the village of Christmas rather than the quieter, more introspective moments. But at least it's something.

^^In the context of the FT one, the scene was showing that the old general who was trying to explain how someone else he met was a racist, and as the scene goes on you think he is going to call out that rasict, but the punchline being he is also a rasict, but completly oblivious to it due to him being outside the modern world around him at that time.

Of course i remember back in the day the irony of the backlash from daily fail readers who were up in arms over the fact that the BBC were going to cut the German goose stepping scene from the shows re-runs, but strangly daily fail readers never made a peep about that scene. lol

You make a very good point. I was merely a kid when FT was brand new so the meaning of that word and context well I didn't even notice but watching it now as an old fart it kind of surprised me they allowed it.

Ryan Gosling’s t-shirt wasn’t just a publicity stunt, he really is a fan of Ncuti.

Edit: the link I posted originally doesn’t seem to work (the tweet was deleted) but you should get it in either of the next two posts.

Maybe he just didn’t do the whole process of unlinking and relinking them in Bluetooth when he was troubleshooting a glitch. I’ve had quite a few warranty replacements before Apple figured out a design flaw, but I never had the name increment like that.

Jodie is perfectly capable of emoting, projecting and carrying a scene. It's the writing which hasn't allowed her to demonstrate her range nearly as much as she's capable, IMO.

That said, Ncuti is great on a stage. I've only seen clips of Sex Education but between those, and more oratorial clips liek the one below I'm more than convinced he can carry of the kind dialogue and speeches RTD is capable of writing.

So we may have been wrong about Ncuti not starting until later in the year:

Harris recently returned from shooting the new season of “Doctor Who” in Wales. Showrunner Russell T Davis offered him a role after they worked together on “It’s a Sin,” HBO Max’s limited series about the early days of the AIDS epidemic. “Sex Education” star Ncuti Gatwa will make his debut as the new incarnation of the Doctor.

“I got to meet and interact with him a bit and he’s glorious,” Harris says of Gatwa. “He’ll be the first gay Doctor, which is going to be super cool, a sexier Doctor.”

"Meet and interact" isn't the same as film with. That said, Ncuti started shooting on Monday,(or at least his first episode did) and if they want Harris to return, it'd have been wise to do his scenes whle he was there to film the Tennant specials.
