Chapel Character Teaser

As for "Little Girls" Why is Chapel so hell bent on finding the computer core? It's very dangerous as she pursues Ruk yelling "Ruk you must obey me". Then Spock beams down eager to know if the computers were saved. Kirk quickly replies"Nope all gone" and that's it. What did Chapel do down there? Did she copy the files? Did she keep them? She can be manipulative and what did Spock want with them? Years later what will she do with this info I'm pretty sure she snuck out of Exo 111

She was trained in exoarchaeology and alien tech research. She probably did study Korby's research, which had useful applications for cybernetics, and that's why she worked alongside Scotty in Return to Tomorrow and why she took the lead on the Ilia Probe analysis.

Not sure about the timeline on Korby. We don't know how long he was lost but Chapel was his research assistant. Perhaps she will meet him soon and they will become engaged. The story is so thin they could do quite a lot with it.

We do have an idea how long Roger Korby was lost. Dialogue in the opening teaser of "What Are Little Girls Made Of" says that the last message from Kirby was received "five years ago," so , if that episode takes place in 2266 or 2267, Korby disappeared ca. 2261 or '62.

What you are describing did not happen in the episode, it's not even implied by it.

They've changed the character for the new version of Star Trek.

That's the real answer to everything.

They did stories in this setting with these characters over half a century ago.

Now they're doing a new version of it, and it's different - as one would reasonably expect after 50 years.

I wish I was able to cut a video of Christine :adore: with this song. Bound to happen at some future conventions.
