...And also, what exactly did Kore actually do to warrant being recruited by the Time Nudgers? That seemed weird, almost like they just wanted to give her a bigger sendoff than her just running away from home for good.
Wasn't she the best of the clones Soong had made?

watching that ending, I thought we were robbed the best possible finale

If you look closely, you can make out Dukat's face within the anomaly as the Pagh Wraiths escaped.

<ahem>

So anyway, someone made a vid juxtaposing the latest amendments to canon with previous entries. 2:15 - 2:40 can no doubt be massaged into alignment by those who feel a need to do so.

Guinan says to Picard, "I'm sorry I couldn't tell you sooner. I just knew that if I guided you right, set you straight, You'd circle 'round eventually." (and then points out that she's had a photo of Rios in the bar the whole time.)

So...does this mean young Guinan did remember him the whole time? And all that "Confederation timeline" stuff was baloney? Or is she referring to something else?
The best I can tell, TNG era Guinan knew everything that would happen this season the whole time, she always had Rios' photo, and she also remembered meeting Picard in Time's Arrow. She was apparently apologising for never telling Picard about what he was about to go through.

Young Guinan didn't remember Time's Arrow, because time at that point was at a crossroads and was pointed towards the Confederation future where it hadn't happened. Once Picard and friends ensured the Federation future would happen, they were now in the Federation timeline... which was basically exactly what we saw this season except Guinan had already met Picard in Time's Arrow and Punk on a Bus was maybe a little quicker to turn off his music.

I just realized the hat Guinan is wearing at the end of the season finale when they've returned to 2401 Earth is the same or a very similar hat to the one she wore on the Lakul and Enterprise-B in GEN. It would also be the hat seen on her "echo" in the Nexus.

It felt like they wrote episode 1 and 10 then just had to come up with a load of stuff to fill up time in between.

Why did they have that scene last week where Raffi achieved emotional catharsis with the hologram of Elnor if he was just going to come back to life anyway in this episode?
What was the point of that whole FBI subplot? He didn't even come back to help out in even a minor way in the finale! The very definition of time filler.
Why would Traveller Wesley need a transporter beam.
Oh, I can't be bothered, I know some people liked it and I don't want to post a whole big list (but what the fuck was going on with Whoopi Goldberg's acting this episode?) The opening two and the finale were the best episodes. I'll just say6 that.

John de Lancie was really good, I wish they'd actually written a whole season around the concept of Q dying rathern that just twenty minutes from the second and last episode.

Our conflict also started with a fight for freedoms. We called it the Second Civil War, then the Eugenics War, and finally just World War III. This was our last day.

Actually, that seems quite clear. It was one continuous, building conflict, in that order.

(Consider: “Our 20th-century conflict also started with a fight for land and ideology. We called it World War II, then World War I, and finally just the Vietnam War.” That would be nonsensical.)

Well, yeah. The concern was WHEN those conflicts happened, not the order. Some on this board contend that the Eugenics War occurred in the 21st century, based on what they saw in PIC (i.e. the scene of Dr. Soong pulling out a file labeled PROJECT KHAN). I was addressing that.

As someone who enjoyed the premiere and found myself enjoying the season less and less as it went on, I’m happy to say I loved this episode! I think it wrapped things up very well and I’m happy Rios got his happy ending.

My main problem is that I’m a little confused about the timeline of the Eugenics Wars and WW3 now. Were there two sets of Eugenics Wars?

A rating is not necessary the series is what it is. I was bummed Picard and Laris didn't kiss at the end. Maybe I'll get that romance in season 3.

No reason to be confused. PICARD is not in the same universe as TOS, just watch whatever these showrunners are developing and enjoy.

Probably. Wars is plural after all.

Why did they have that scene last week where Raffi achieved emotional catharsis with the hologram of Elnor if he was just going to come back to life anyway in this episode?

Likely because someone realized at some point during the second pass over the story that they hadn't left room to resolve Raffi's guilt in the finale, and unburdening herself to holo-Elnor was some semblance of resolution. It makes sense in the wake of Seven pointing out they weren't likely to make it out of the fight with Queenie combined with Raffi's grief, but still not really satisfying, imo.
