Now we will never get our Star Trek: Privateer game.

Some weird moments:
- what is this transwarp corridor about? Alison Pill isn't returning next season so it remains to be seen what this borg provisional membership in the federation will imply
- the 1996 Khan secret folder that Soong was looking at? seemed like it could have been fleshed out more
So much to love about this episode:
- Tallinn meeting Renée (!!), fulfilling her destiny
- Time Travelers as the Guardians (!)
- Wesley! and Kore's new journey
- Soong getting exactly what he deserved
- Elnor!
- Q + Picard, the warmth in that scene definitely gave me the feels... very similar to Data's final moments with Picard in Season 1
Can't wait for S3... some weird rumor it has to do with a son that Picard never knew he had? Looks like Seven may get a commission!

I think that may be Q's gift to the Borg. The Borg were shattered without it and unable to recover. Now with a new one, they can.

Wesley returns as a Traveler, we learn Soong was involved with creating Khan which no doubt inspired his descendant Arik to deal with and revive Augments some 130 years later and Q and Picard have a pretty heartwarming parting of ways. Guess we'll see if he returns for at least one more appearance.

I don't buy into that personally, we may see hard times for awhile, but Truth will eventually win out, it always has.
As long as we don't Nuke ourselves over inconsequential border disputes, I believe we will maqke it to the future a better civilization.
Of all the "What happened to Wesley" theories we had, I'm not sure him becoming Gary Seven's boss was ever one of them.
They mention Khan, but literally no mention of WW3? What? How could Rios even consider staying and letting Teresa and Ricardo go through that? Does he not know Earth history? He should've been demanding that Q take them to the future too.
So after all season wondering what Evan Evagora did to tick off the showrunners, it was actually Santiago who got the boot after all. Man, do these showrunners not read all the requests for a Captain Rios Stargazer show? Does Santiago have bigger projects lined up? Because if I were him I would be massively ticked off right now that the prospect of a Rios show got shut down before it even had a chance.

The Eugenics Wars seems to have happened in this world but it wasn't World War 3. Which happens in the future of this timeline. Khan was created in 1996 according to those files.
To be fair, if Khan ruled over India for a time period, that's not that far from a 3rd of the world's population.
And Rios apparently serves as a medic for WW3 given what we hear.
As for Rios/Stargazer, I didn't want him as a captain of a Federation ship. I wanted him as a tramp freighter captain.

The hug was nice but I don’t feel like they earned it. It should have been a big deal but it did nothing for me.
Needlessly cynical statement: Adam Soong being rich and suffering no consequences for such makes perfect sense if the 40 million people killed were all brown and he were living in the USA.
Soong seemed to be the kind of guy who wanted Aryan types to come out on top of the genetic heap, or at least European types.
