They died, and Jean-Luc became the last person to his family tree, and then he died.
I asked if robot Picard is still the last Picard, and if he can make babies are they humanoid enough to qualify as the new last Picard?
Regardless, Picard is currently in confederation Picard's body so he is biologically the confederation last Picard and not the Federation Last Picard, so if he made a baby before he gets back to his own time, it's not his kid.
Although I feel like Confederation Picard has children strewn across the Galaxy and any talk about a last Picard is fanciful.
He thought he could near the end of TNG.

Yeah, but we don't know definitively if he was sterile. Meanwhile, Data definitely did have a daughter without any biological conception. It's such a weird thing to get hung up on and to define "humanity" by. I have family who had to get pregnant using IVF; should I now define her as an android?
