The Borg Queen connected the fleet to the Stargazer (per the dialogue). That's why the fleet was destroyed also.
I was referring to the Stargazer specifically – Picard is not her captain.

Oh I see.I was referring to the Stargazer specifically – Picard is not her captain.
Hey, PIC is likely never going to rank as one of my favorite Trek series short of Season 3 being something really special so I'm sympathetic with the general "new Trek falls short in storytelling" argument but I think people are making far too big a deal out of a ceremonial bottle being used by an alien woman we've known has mysterious powers ever since Season 2 of The Next Generation.
She's weird and so is her species. Bottles that make screaming noises isn't even in the Top 10 of All-Time Weird Trek Stuff.
Don't care any more, man. Star Trek hasn't done that for a long time. Picard strikes me like all other Trek; good in some places, poor in others. It's as consistent as it has ever been. YATI didn't get pulled out of a fan's ass either. It came from Trek repeatedly being inconsistent.I watch Merlin which is fantasy and even that has internal consistency. For instance Gaius explains a potion how it works ,the amount and the ingredients. He does not suddenly pull it out of his ass and gives it willy nilly without a plausible explanation.
Star Trek is supposed to have internal scientific techno babble consistency. It is Science fiction not SCENE fiction.
I was so excited for the first 2 episodes but now I am terrifically disappointed.
Just watch Merlin and see how a story should be told.
well, in fact he isn’t: this is his *third* body. Not that anyone in the android brigade will remember this.Just get over this. Picard is Picard. In every way that matters, he is the same being we met in Encounter at Farpoint Everything else is missing the point.
What's the third? Honestly, don't remember. Didn't make it all the way through TNG.well, in fact he isn’t: this is his *third* body. Not that anyone in the android brigade will remember this.

It's OK to not like a show just because. It's also OK to like a show and see the inconsistencies. Picard strikes me as Trek. And supposedly bad Trek is better than no Trek. So I've heard.
I don't know Merlin and I don't care. Arthurian legend is about as interesting as tax code. The story can be brilliantly told and if I don't care about the characters it does nothing for me. So, I'll give a hard pass on how a story "should be told."
Don't care because attractiveness is not my measure of a character. I hate that, actually.Merlin is really good and the characters are likable charming and someone you can identify with. The women look like women and are attractive and strong without being woke.
So, not men like me. So, don't care. The Men are Men without being effeminate and woke. The writers know to write each episode with an over reaching story arc.
The story won't furnish my interest in characters.I urge everyone to watch it on free iplayer and you will surprised at how good the STORY TELLING is.
his first body is destroyed in Lonely Among Us, in TNG season 1, his consciousness is reintegrated in a transporter copy, which we watched the adventures of for the next decades. The third body is the synth one. Well, in fact this season we’re seeing him in his fourth body, as he’s inhabiting the synth body originally belonging to general Picard. Jean-luc is a dedicated body-hopper for sure! What's the third? Honestly, don't remember. Didn't make it all the way through TNG.
pretty much. Synth Picard is no different. The Trekverse works in a cartesian dualist manner, even if the real world does not. Minds have been repeatedly shown to be independent of bodies and able to be transferred around, going all the way back to TOS.
Good thing that isn’t happening hereAgree. The shills that relentlessly try to discount any sort of criticism are getting tiresome as well.
Oh, OK. I hadn't thought of it like that. Excellent point.his first body is destroyed in Lonely Among Us, in TNG season 1, his consciousness is reintegrated in a transporter copy, which we watched the adventures of for the next decades. The third body is the synth one. Well, in fact this season we’re seeing him in his fourth body, as he’s inhabiting the synth body originally belonging to general Picard. ouch ouch ouch. The women look like women and are attractive and strong without being woke.
The Men are Men without being effeminate and woke. The writers know to write each episode with an over reaching story arc.
Apparently a key ingredient for what consists of epic story telling. The women look like women and are attractive
These main characters are not nearly attractive enough! What is the world coming too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?Apparently a key ingredient for what consists of epic story telling.![]()
You’re sexist and bigoted.Merlin is really good and the characters are likable charming and someone you can identify with. The women look like women and are attractive and strong without being woke.
The Men are Men without being effeminate and woke. The writers know to write each episode with an over reaching story arc.

Arguing against so-called "shallow" plotlines by arguing in favor of shallow looks is.... just shallow. These main characters are not nearly attractive enough! What is the world coming too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Humans are so shallow. Ridiculous.![]()
Good thing that isn’t happening here
Well, if I say that it's because people having fun with a show is my number one goal. If a series lost me (many have) I don't find enjoyment in it anymore. I guess that's me being an ass for assuming your reaction is the same.It is though. If I say I dislike the new Ferengi look in Disco or explain why I feel that series has lost me I’m told to stop watching.
No one has done that because only dislike the new Ferengi. It is though. If I say I dislike the new Ferengi look in Disco or explain why I feel that series has lost me I’m told to stop watching.
If I say how bad an episode Monsters was people come at me with the “trolling” nonsense.
