Who is doing that?

The ones who are doing it know who they are.

Granted, I'm not reading every post in this thread. I'll post my thoughts and respond to people with questions/comments. But do you honestly believe there's some massive wave of trolls coming in here to trash this particular episode, or other episodes?

Nope. No massive wave. Just a few rotten eggs.

I want to enjoy these shows because Star Trek has had such a tremendous impact on my life. But sometimes the shows are bad. This one was terrible. Maybe the next one will be good. Good lord, not every negative opinion is just people trolling.

Read my post that you quoted again. 'There’s a difference between people not liking something, and people purposely not liking something with the intent to just be trolls.'

The women look like women and are attractive and strong without being woke.

The Men are Men without being effeminate and woke. The writers know to write each episode with an over reaching story arc.

Opinions are opinions, but this is just kind of unpleasant to be honest. Why don’t you just stick to Merlin and quit writing voluminous essays about how much you hate this show?

PS Merlin …kinda sucks. In my opinion. I never got beyond an episode or two back in the day. I didn’t fixate on it, and write 42 page bullet points of flaws to post online. I just forgot about it and found something I did enjoy watching.

Q’s powers aren’t working, so no.

And agent is a real person based on the trailers for next week’s episode
Unless our motley crew are actually currently in the Q Continuum, where so called super technology ‘magic’ isn’t magic anymore and takes on the form of every day life as perceived via our human perception. All interactions, communication and even violence are galactic in scope and proportions, but as we can’t comprehend it all, we view it through a very human and relatable lense. An explosion behind a bar might appear to be almost trivial on a physical level, but perhaps it is a representation of of an entire galaxy of spirits being annihilated?

Maybe this is why young Guinan is present in this reality? She might be a soldier fighting on one side of the Q continuum civil warning behalf of the Elaurians? Obvs not on De Lancies side though?

Merlin is really good and the characters are likable charming and someone you can identify with. The women look like women and are attractive and strong without being woke.

The Men are Men without being effeminate and woke. The writers know to write each episode with an over reaching story arc.

I urge everyone to watch it on free iplayer and you will surprised at how good the STORY TELLING is.
Eh, I watched when it came out. It was middling entertainment. A sort of CW take on the legend.
Your gender based bullshit is just that, bullshit.

I didn’t particularly care for it.

How about The Expanse?

Merlin? The "something to keep the sci fi/fantasy fans entertained between series of Doctor Who" Merlin? From about ten years ago? That Merlin? Really!? Jesus, I thought it was childish teatime schlock with atrocious CGI, personally, but each to our own. It got five series so I suppose someone must have been watching it

(Also – iPlayer doesn't work outside of the UK.)

Here's a question for you, because I like to collect definitions – what do you mean, exactly, by "woke"?

Just get over this. Picard is Picard. In every way that matters, he is the same being we met in Encounter at Farpoint Everything else is missing the point.

Can he conceive a child?

If he can, is the child humanoid or android?

Is any android Picard, even a synthetic flesh and blood android, the last Picard?

Picard's new body is still human; it's physically identical to his old one (save the Irumodic Syndrome). So I can only assume that he could indeed father a child if he so chose.
