It almost looks like that Constitution Class ship has a slight undercut on the bottom of the primary hull.

Pretty sure that's just the lighting/black trim playing tricks. The Enterprise doesn't have the undercut in any of the shots.

Yeah, that is a beautiful shot. It really shows off how massive the ship is.

I don't think that it is supposed to be the Enterprise. ???
It's a crashed Constitution Class ship though, the nacelle caps and the deflector dish are damaged.

And it definitely has the undercut.
You can see how the hull is flat first along from the outer edge and then there's the indentation which then slopes downward toward the sensor dome.

Perhaps They are using a version closer to the original Enterprise as another ship of the class?

@Tuskin38, thank you for starting this thread. I love reading and sharing analyses and discussions about the ships from each current series. Who knows what eye-gouging uglies we'll barf about, or which sleek and shiny beauties we'll adore, in the years to come?

    Love that idea!

Maybe Pike is sent to either save or scuttle it?

That's just the lighting/shading. It's completely uniform all away the round the saucer, the Enterprise has the same black trim.

Also I never said it was the Enterprise.

The next shot I think is set on that ship, and there's some alien onboard that the Universal Translator can't handle.

Is the impulse deck of the crashed more like the OG Connie as apossed to the disco version?

    Well…
there is that starship poster from the Picard S2 premiere that shows that TOS Connie’s do still exist in canon, just not the Enterprise for..reasons.

Lower Decks and Prodigy have shown the TOS Enterprise. Heck Prodigy had it in a lineup with the Discovery

I really think you need to take a closer look at the crashed ship, it does have the indentation on the bottom of the primary hull.

And I didn't infer that you said that it was the Enterprise, I was just pointing out that it probably wasn't.

BTW: I agree that the SNW Enterprise doesn't seem to have the same indentation.

That shuttlecraft is huge inside!
