She still has all her borg knowledge, maybe that includes the Spanish language.Emmett speaks Spanish, Seven communicates with him in English, he responds in Spanish, yet Seven understands him.
I'm confused. I don't get it.![]()

Why? We've seen her pull random knowledge out of her Borg brain before in Voyager. It just struck me as a plot hole.
In what way a plot hole? Seven understands Spanish but chooses to speak in English; Emmett understands English but chooses to speak in Spanish. Seems self-explanatory enough to me. And it is a very normal sci fi trope, in fact, to have two characters speaking different languages but understanding one another perfectly. It just struck me as a plot hole.
William Hurt passed away yesterday at age 71.

When?
Season 3, the final season, has wrapped already. So he's not dying on the set of Star Trek.
Hurt had a chronic illness. It's sad but true. Stewart is wrapped on his Trek journey for now.Well, not NOW.
The man could die of natural causes (he's older than William Hurt).
So, Star Trek has never been quiet and contemplative or valued the natural world? Is there going to be a boring 15-minute silent vineyard scene every single episode this season, too? Enough of that stuff - has nothing to do with star trek.
I'm quite certain they are watching a different show. The last phrase I have heard people use to describe Picard Season 2 has been "boring." In fact, it is all action and excitement, which is more in line with Nemesis and First Contact. Mileage will vary on whether that is good. There has not, in fact, been a boring 15-minute silent vineyard scene in any episode yet in the entire show.
There have been scenes set at the vineyard, sure, which have been used to establish details about Picard's life, but none of them have been 15 minutes of silence...and none have been boring. And we've only seen the vineyard in a handful of episodes, scene-setters before heading back out into space.

This very episode had 15 minutes at the beginning where literally nothing happened - just empty, dumb dialog. That stuff can be done in 3 minutes. Everyone has different opinions, but none of the best star trek episodes have 15 minutes of pure dialog - and if they do then it's provocative or interesting not Picard talking about his past - or whatever the hell that was about...I've already forgotten.![]()
