Good episode.
Interesting on how Q behaved and even slapped Picard (this seemed unnecessary to be fair - but could be indicative of Q being unstable if Picard's assessment of his behavior was accurate).

This season seems to be an improvement on the first one.
Will be interesting to see how it progresses... but it looks I was correct in the premise that they will be using a slingshot around the sun for time travel to the past.

It will also be interesting to see how will they handle the Borg from this point on.
If they end up forming some kind of an alliance with the collective, I'll be even MORE irked with Disco for not seriously advancing UFP by the 32nd century in science and technology... heck even WITHOUT the Borg, the UFP should have been a lot more advanced.

Though at this point, the thing with the Borg that awaits them could be either some kind of alliance, or a permanent cease fire at least (Borg's demise seems unlikely)... with the Collective maybe proclaiming that they could go into isolation and stop their galactic assimilation and possibly return for closer ties with UFP once they advance more past the point of 'raw material' (as Guinan described UFP in TNG in 'Q who') - whenever that might be (or if Disco is being taken into account - never).

Sisko is named, what do you think Janeways' alt-self is like in this timeline?

Probably VERY close to if not outright the same as the fictional recreation of Janeway and warship Voyager the Kirians came up with in VOY episode 'Living Witness'.

Although, given how humanity looks down on other species in the Confederation and wants other species eradicated (or so I got from it)... it doesn't seem likely Janeway would be using aliens in her crew... unless she was forced to and then decided she will simply execute them when the ship returns to the Confederation.

Well specifically, Kurtzman(?) said Worf would be recognizable. Never said he'd be unchanged.

It is possible to update the design, but keep the character recognizable at a glance. STO did that with an ancestor of Gowron's. Mixed 24th Century Gowron's ridges and face with the head of a DSC style Klingon.

Though I don't know how practical that would be with real makeup.

Anyone notice the interplay between Jurati and the Borg Queen? The latter seems to have Jurati's number right out of the gate, and the first thing Jurati does is hook her up to the ship when they beam aboard.

I think this may portend one of two things: Either Jurati eventually ends up being assimilated in some form or another, or she actually is the Borg Queen behind the mask we see aboard Stargazer in Episode 1. If she becomes Borg in Earth's past, that gives her a lot of time to make it back to the 25th Century the long way. (Living through the centuries). The whole thing then becomes a predesintation paradox- for her.

Wasn’t it mentioned in discovery season 4 that the Q hadn’t been heard of for 600years? Would that be this current time period in Picard? Maybe the Q are moving on to a different plane or somewhere else, and this is Q’s last change to influence and hang out with his favorite human.

Q Mentions Sarek being decapitated in front of his Wife and Kid. The Vulcan priestess and Sybok?

I can't see it being Spock and Amanda/Perrin. Unless Amanda/Perrin were alien sympathizers.

Then again, Spock still existed in the Mirror Universe which implies things still happened between Amanda and Sarek.

Or they are just two unknown people.

I wonder if Guinan kept her alien heritage a secret when she came to this Earth?

They just won't give up that awful Discovery Klingon design. I sure hope that's a prop they had lying around and recycled. I really really liked the episode, but this is just a little middle finger.

Forgive me, I genuinely don't mean to be combative here, but aside from the smaller/more "frequent" ridges in the center of the forehead this skull does not really seem all that implausible to be the Martok on the right?

9.

A few small nitpicks and annoyances but nothing that would have kept me from deeply enjoying the episode. And Patton Oswalt as a cat simulation was just a lot of fun. I like when random comedians and actors get cameos in franchises they enjoy.

For general story sensibilities it was probably referring to Amanda, and Spock. Fans have a connection to those two, so it hits in the "feels" more.
