Amazing we get this question asked every couple months but back during the first two seasons everyone's attitude was that expressed in the Star Trek XII bit on that old Simpsons episode. "Again with the Klingons."
The Klingons declared war on dilithium after the burn, believing dilithium to have purposely self exploded in a declaration of war. They all went to the dilithium mines of Rura Penthe and have been hacking at the crystal remains there with bat'leths for the past 100 years. Now that the Burn has been fixed, Admiral Vance and President Rillak just don't have the heart to tell the Klingons the "Great Dilithium Hunt" is pointless.
It's almost like there might be a middle ground between centering a season's story arc around them and not mentioning them at all during a galactic event.Amazing we get this question asked every couple months but back during the first two seasons everyone's attitude was that expressed in the Star Trek XII bit on that old Simpsons episode. Same here. Klingons are overdone in Trek and need to be left alone.I don't really care to see Klingons in Modern trek.
They already have been a part of Discovery. Zero reason to have them now.Klingon's have always been part of any series of Trek.

They probably are not worth mentioning. They carry value to fans not to the story. In the grander scheme of this era, perhaps they're just not worth mentioning.
