Well, putting too many villains in a spiderman movie never backfired before. So I think it will be okay.

A little rude of Peter and company to laugh at Otto's name when they know a Stephen Strange and Peter knows a Bruce Banner already. :p

    Clearly.

There is no other possible explanation.

Magneto, Rogue and Wolverine on top of SoL?
What in the world would they do up there?

Even though Peter fought in the Endgame battle and survived relatively unharmed him going up against the Sinister Six might be too much for single Superhero so i'm 99% sure we will get Maguire's and Garfield's Spidermen to help out, unless Marvel pulls out something completely different and it still remains believable in the context of a Superhero free for all.

Marvel has been known to either recut the sequence of scenes in their trailers to give a different impression or outright manipulate them via CGI ( Hulk being present in the Infinity War trailers during the Battle of Wakanda) to keep certain plot points a secret.

So it could well be that some scenes featuring Tom Holland alone might be misleading and the actual scene in the movie is quite different.

One has to understand that many viewers of the MCU are very casual viewers and they don't scour entertainment sites, rumors and eat up every last information about a movie like we do here so them even seeing Molina's Doc Ock might be a shock ( for those who have seen the Maguire Spiderman movies and were not too young back then).
Keeping the others out of the trailers might still be that reason even if the rumors simply don't go away.

Or it may be a total curveball and Marvel is doubling over from laughter because the truth is completely different. In any way it is just a month away so we'll see soon. Until that time there's Hawkeye to tide us over and a plethora of other nerd stuff coming out until the end of the year.

Let me stick in a DVD from 2000 to refresh my memory.

Joking aside, let's remember we have a Doctor Strange film called 'The Multiverse of Madness'. Whatever we get in 'No Way Home' is just the tip of the ice-berg.

I really wonder how the "Toby and Andrew aren't in it" contrarians explain the lizard being hit by nothing (aka an obviously edited out person attacking him) in the trailer. It already makes no sense to think that Alfred Molina, probably Dafoe and Jamie Foxx made it in but Toby and Andrew didn't, but at this point you have to actively want to ignore reality to think that we aren't getting all three Spider-Men for at least one big action scene.

They probably won't be in it enough for me (I'd prefer if they were the main characters, especially over the MCU Spider-Man's supporting cast), but its pretty damn obvious they are going to show up and have more then just a quick visual cameo.

I do ignore reality. MCU is not reality, and I don't want all these Spider-men showing up and convoluting an already convoluted property. So, yes, hope will springth eternal for forever and a day. If people can selectively ignore canon then so can I :)

Up until the release of the trailer I was actually leaning towards them not being in it but as soon as I saw the same scaffolding in it that was in the (supposedly fake) photos, that was good enough for me.

I'd happily bet that if the shot of MJ falling had played on another second or two you'd see her being saved by Garfield-Man.

This is extremely flimsy justification for believing that Tobey and Andrew show up in the film, especially since it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for the photos in question to have been faked by somebody with access to BtS snapshots.

I mean. I think the ground is slowly crumbling around the idea that they won't be in it

You have the trailer with all that scaffolding around the Statue of liberty

You have all three of the Spider-men in a scene near the water surrounded by support structures where the statue of liberty is

It really doesn't though. Some fans feel it does. But nothing says that because you take portion A from a property, you must also take portion B.

This may be my favorite line and the movie hasn't even come out yet.

I'm glad to not be the only one to use Gwen's name as a verb. :D

    :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Or... it could be Venom. In the correct outfit.

    It‘s not.
It‘s the regular spider outfit, but turned inside out.
It has all sorts of doodads and wiring etc on the outside.
Of course, we don’t know why he would wear it like that.
Could either be a way to deal with Electro‘s powers, or somehow help him with holding on to Strange‘s magic somehow..

I'm still about 50/50 on Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield being in the movie, just because their villains are in it, doesn't automatically mean they are in it.
They clearly edited something out of the Brazilian trailer, but all that means is that there is something they don't want us to see. Yes, that is evidence the other Spideys might be in it, but it's not proof, there's always a chance there's something or someone else they don't want us to see.
Every time it's come up in an interview, everybody involved has denied that they are in it, and yes they do occasionally lie, but usually they're give some kind of a non-answer answer. In this case, ever time it's come up, they've all given a straight forward "no", so that makes me think there's a pretty good chance they're telling the truth.

A good point Gizmodo made, but didn't take one thing into account: The final shot of the trailer, with the purple tears in the sky and Strange going "They’re starting to come through... and I can’t stop them!" At this point, the scaffolding has already been torn down from Lady Liberty - the battle, far as we know, is over. The Sinister Six, and presumably Tobey & Andrew (that's the part they missed), are already there.

So... what, or who, is coming through those tears...???

EDIT: And while we're on the subject, did somebody give the Statue a vinegar pressure wash or something recently and I didn't hear about it? I've always known her to be patina green, yet here (otherwise appropriately weathered and aged-looking) she looks as coppery as when she was first built!

Maybe something that leads into Multiverse of Madness?
