Spoilers "Superman & Lois" Season 1 spoiler discussion!

Cavil is awesome as Superman. Never understood people who think otherwise.

Usually, they operate from a disturbing hatred of a Superman adaptation (and the actor performance which was perfectly written for it) that takes its own, necessary route, like many stories in the 80+ years of the comics and does not deify one performance from decades ago.

Or maybe Kate Bosworth? :)

Is it fair that we reviled Kate for being blond, yet gave Amy a pass for being ginger?

Was Kate a trail blazer who made it easier for all non-brunettes to come?

Thank You Kate Bosworth, thank you.

Although I still think she died in child birth, and they replaced that Lois with a clone, so that the kid didn't turn into a super villain.

Although depending on when the superfetus burst out of her stomach, its the difference between a bullet hole and a cannon ball hole.

Depends on what version of Kryptonian. For some it takes years of direct exposure to yellow sun radiation to get powers.

Solar radiation includes visible light, ultraviolet light, infrared, radio waves, X-rays, and gamma rays.

Some of that can pass through an inch of human skin and womb goo.

Personally, my issue with Bosworth was less her hair colour and more that she was supposed to be playing the same Lois as Margot Kidder, but not only was she not older than Kidder was in Superman II, she either was or at least looked a good deal younger than Kidder was in Superman.

Routh on the other hand was at least around the same age that Reeve had been, and a lack of aging is easier to reconcile for Clark IMO.

YMMV.

They should have brought Margo back to play Lois.

Then we could have explored an immortal Brandon Routh Superman still getting aroused by the 57 year old woman he'll love forever.

"Gentle then Clark, but don't worry, you're not going to knock me up this time."

Way less creepy than stalking Kate's Lois with his super senses.

Which one powers Kryptonians?

visible light,: Flight.
ultraviolet light: Super Speed.
infrared: Heat Vision.
radio waves: Super Hearing
X-rays: X-Ray Vision.
gamma rays: Strength

Although...

Different Star types produce different powers. Only the visible light is different?

Although, Although, in Smallville, the powers are clearly technological. Solar powered Nanites in the Blood. Look how quickly powers are turned on and off, or how easily Johnathan Kent was given powers to rival his son? I don't think that this is an idea from the writers room, I think it's a complete accident that they presented consistent evidence, for years, and years, to support a dodgy hypothesis.

It's weird that people insist on complaining about Lois having the "wrong" hair color (even though the first live-action Lois, Noel Neill, was a redhead), yet nobody (except me) complains about every screen Jimmy Olsen except Tommy Bond having the wrong hair color. I guess our society just feels far more entitled to police women's appearance than men's.

Eh, I'd go with Dean Cain for Clark and Cavil for Supes.
Dean Cain was my earliest introduction to Superman! They would re-air it on TBS the superstition. To, me he is Superman! But I am torn between Routh and Welling as my favorite!

Lois is a more important character than Jimmy Olson. With Olson it's all about the Bow Tie and being nerdy. If he doesn't reflect that people complain.
