I really like that Ransom was hit by the strange energy because he was running in to pull Mariner out of the storm.

I thought this episode was great fun and very funny. I guess I might be the exact type of fan they write for and I LOVE it. This show really reaffirms what I love about 90s Trek and the way I love it. Jokes that don't just reference Trek, but reference the type of intimate knowledge of things like production. I like this type of absurd humor in my grown up cartoons and having it presented in jokes that reward me for being a fan is all the better.

"I know we're not suppose to have interpersonal conflicts, but..." This joke is fantastic.

It’s a 5 for me. Not very funny, and I come back to LD for the over-the-top references and Easter eggs, and there wasn’t much of that. Overall it wasn’t objectionable…just extremely and completely unremarkable in nearly every way.

Would have been a 4, but the beautifully rendered TMP-era aesthetics on the Miranda-class ship and the Gary Mitchell reference is worth a point. Maybe that’s really worth two points, but I’m tired and cranky…so it only gets one.

Yeah, that won't last...

I mildly chuckled at the "I know we're not supposed to have interpersonal conflicts..." line. Certainly a better kick off than the pilot.

Tendi might be my favourite character.

I think they could really push the envelope in this format. At the moment it's fairly light, inoffensive and a bit of a diversion. We'll see if they up their game from here.

Was disappointed with this episode. Both the A and B plot were a bit flimsy and the B plot in particular turned Tendi into a pure psycho.
The opening was fun and the Doctors insistence on trying the boulder cracked me up but it was about the only laugh.
There was a weird deja vu plotline at the start that I thought was going to be part of the episode. Was that just a meta joke I didn't get?
Also they have added weird ships to the Romulan Borg fight anyone know who they are and if it has meaning?
