Why do I take it seriously?

I don't mind taking things seriously but personally I feel when things like (don't worry not you, the below quote isn't from you)

Also those who insist Logan must be the main source for this character type, are just revealing their own tiny frame of reference.

The conversation dangerously veers into no longer being about Trek or even related topics and starts becoming about other posters.

John Jackson Miller mentioned in the Trek Literature forum that Rogue Elements is going to be the longest novel Picard yet at around 400 pages.He's excited he gets to tell a longer story for Rios and filling in the backstory for the character and season one in general.

I'm somewhat surprised they're filling in Rios' backstory in literature so quickly. I kind of thought his character would be perfect for Lower Decks (even though I don't watch that show anymore, I can see them bringing him in). Young Rios being the goofiest, most fun-loving character in that cartoon would make the dissonance between his bitter gloomy Picard self after the ibn Majid incident that much more memorable for audiences.

So Rios mentions that he felt like he knew Captain Marta Batanides (his captain had been her first officer)
Marta Batanides played a significant role in the TNG episode "Tapestry" in which Q brings Picard back to revisit several pivotal moments in his past.
She was there during the fight and stabbing which led to Picard needing his artificial heart,.
The tapestry idea of second chances and revisiting past times also featured heavily in the teaser for S2.
Might the hints of Marta Batanides character get e revisit, ...?
