We started Call Your Mother, the new Kyra Sedgwick sitcom. So far, it's okay. If I forget about it, though, it won't be any great loss.
I didn't watch it, but I was very surprised to see that it got 9.4m viewers in Britain. That's more than most shows get in America. How did it do that?
I've been on a Shaw Brothers/kung fu binge. Clan of the White Lotus and One-Armed Swordsman are a couple of my favs so far.
I am currently watching the Netflix series, The Serpent. It is based on con artist and serial killer Charles Sobhraj who preyed on western tourists in 1970's Asia. He is not well known in America but he was infamous within Asia. Tahar Rahim of The Mauritanian movie plays him in the series.
Watched that a while ago (It aired on the Beeb here) and thought it was well done. Tonight for me it'll be For All Mankind and Falcon & The Winter Soldier.
South Park. Mostly a reactionary cartoon show with crude yet sometimes urbane potty humor where each episode is its own bubble of a microcosm. Apart from the sequel to when Cartman was abducted by aliens... seasons 5 and 6 are so gooood, though the first 6 overall are almost consistently good-to-excellent... some episodes in those seasons are still bizarre, but 1-6 are the good old days... especially as Stan warns Cartman of dangers at the public pool and the episode just has a field day with it in "Summer Sucks"... and, of course, the other all-time great known as "Chickenpox"...
Been watching ER from the start (Season 2 now)... Kerry Weaver is awful, I hate her. She's nothing but a bully who disguises it under the pretence of doing her job and only cares about her own career advancement ahead of other people. Every compliment is a under hand offensive remark and she is unbelievable critical, especially to people she perceives as a threat to her career.
