What are you watching???

Did anyone here watch 'The Trip to Greece'?
What the hell was the resolution to the ending of 'The Trip to Spain'?

Saw "Debris" last night. That was WAY too sappy for my tastes, but I'll give it one or two more episodes to save itself.

Watched The Flight Attendant over on HBOMax. It was pretty darn good. Went in with low expectations and found it to be really good. Recommended... 8/10

Been mildly curious about it and it's coming to Sky here soon.

Currently, I'm watching the Wandavision finale.

Every night before going to bed until the series ends, Two and a Half Men.
I don't remember which season I'm on but there are many more to go.

Lately I've been watching 'Two and a Half Men' before going to bed.

There's also a snooker tournament happening this week.

Just finished "Coming to America 2" (or Coming 2 to America, whatever.) It was... decent. Probably about what I was expecting when it comes to present-day late sequels to decades old movies. If you intend to watch it, it'd help to rewatch the original in order to catch and get all of the call-backs and "in-jokes" and such.

But some of the comedy in didn't quite land with me as well as the original's did and some seemed out of place and too broad and that's even with the original in mind.

But, I dunno, I got some chuckles and smiles out of it. It worked.

if you liked the original this one is probably worth a shot.

I recently got into Elementary. I've just started Season 2, and I'm enjoying it a lot. A bit formulaic at times, but that's not always a bad thing. I avoided it for years since it always seemed to be portrayed as a weak competitor to the BBC's Sherlock, but its a very different show (and, honestly, much better then Sherlock was post Series 1, although I like Cumberbatch's Holmes slightly more then Miller's, although I do like him quite a bit). Lucy Liu is also very good as her version of Watson. Definitely not a traditional version, but I like her.

The only slight knocks I'd give to the show is that I guessed the Moriarty twist pretty quickly, and that it could stand to use more elements from the books as more then just slight references (for example, Elementary's version of Mrs. Hudson was definitely unique, but not particularly important and only memorable because of the one particular thing about her). But besides that I'm liking the show a lot so far and I'm glad its all available on Hulu to watch.

Cubs at Arizona on Sunday was a real gas with that attack goose taking up residence in deep CF.

YT has been recommending some very old silent movies from Georges Méliès lately.

I'm a big fan of Elementary. I watched it right from the beginning, although I did lose of track of it towards the end.
I think the fact that it focused on different aspects of Holmes characters, like his addictions, helped to differentiate it from Sherlock. Rhys Ifans' Mycroft and John Noble as their father were really good when they came in later on.
I started Season 3 of Jessica Jones this morning. I actually canceled by Netflix subscription yesterday, but the payment for this month already went through so I still it until the 29th, which should be just enough time to get through the season.

Mad about You - the reboot season. I have been waiting to see this for quite a while now, and I'm not disappointed. :D Very enjoyable!

Started a seven day trial for Apple TV+ this morning. Watching Tom Hanks in Greyhound now, since covid killed its theater release.

Over the last couple months I've started watching the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original Mystery Movies. So far I've seen some of the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, Ruby Herring Mysteries, Emma Fielding Mysteries, Fixer Upper Mysteries, Mystery Woman, and Murder She Baked.
