Huh, weird. I see that Andy Sirkis was involved with that one, and ironically he'd go on to play an Ape in the Planet of the Apes reboot.

Currently I'm playing Dyson Sphere Program.
    Good game.
Early access for now, but feels 'finished' more or less. There are upcoming goodies the devs will introduce into the game to make it much more 'rich', but I'm liking it thus far.

I'm getting really into 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.

This game has the most insane storyline I've ever seen. It's like Lost meets Neon Genesis Evangelion, only if you watched the episodes of Lost in randomized order. Time travel, multiple dimensions, robot impostors, incredibly complex relationships between characters. Holy crap.

You actually stay on the balcony and then snipe. What I did was to artfully do a retreat back to the offices, then jump, and so on.

"Ori and the Blind Forest" on Steam. It's rather annoying.

It was on sale on Steam so i figured what the hell. It is basically a jump & run game of old with some puzzles thrown in and over all that they slapped the Star Wars skin on. Gameplay is very rudimentary, you can apparently modify your lightsaber with a million aesthetic varians ( provided you find them in the game) yet there is no effect on gameplay, a basic skill tree and not much else.

Once again i am confirmed in my belief that review sites have to be taken with a mighty dose of scepticism as everywhere i went i saw very good reviews for the game and i would have basically rated it a 5 out of 10 (maybe a 6 for admittedly looking quite good).

Wow, that is one of my all time favorite games. I know I say it a lot, but I'm just constantly amazed at just how different people's tastes can be.
I thought the gameplay was a lot of fun, and it had one of the absolute best storylines I've ever come across in a Star Wars game.

I'm working on Hephaestus' area in Immortals Fenyx Rising (my third area).

I also bought and installed a Blinking Light Win on my 36 year old NES and it works like it's brand new! I also bought some component cables and it's almost like playing the games for the first time without all the fuzziness that comes with the RF Switch.

Next I'll probably buy some component cables for my Sega Genesis and buy a component cable splitter so I don't have to plug and unplug different systems to play them.

Yeah I also loved the game. The gameplay was fun and I enjoyed the story.

I'm assuming a lot of the high buzz surrounding the game has more to do with the fact that it was a return to single-player gaming compared to EA's other efforts with Star Wars. Depending on someone's tastes in gaming and whether they're into multiplayer or not, the singleplayer could be seen as a huge plus and be more enjoyable overall to some people.

Sure but it's a far cry from games like Knights of the Old Republic that had both a fantastic story and good gameplay. This one is basically Super Mario - jumping from platform to platform, occasionally swinging from ropes and running around tubular levels while dispatching Imperials and critters with your lightsaber. To me it seems like they were more concerned with the visual aesthetic and the Star Wars license and chose a gameplay that would create the least problems.

It's ok to play it when you get it through a sale like me, it's still a nice game but i would have been really pissed if i believed all the review sites and bought it first for full price.

Given that it was the first single-player game in decades, it's kind of hard to complain. But I guess you just don't like the type of gameplay they were going for.

"Basically Super Mario" is how I felt about the Force Unleashed games. So I'm not sure if I would enjoy Jedi Fallen Order. My favorite Star Wars game is still Jedi Outcast.

One of the best indie games I've ever played. Period. Don't know if you ever picked it up, it's on sale fairly regularly it seems. But yeah, amazing little game. Packs a good emotional punch. Though I find most indy games do a far better job at that than big games. Probably the only triple X game that's had any real emotional impact for me lately has been Ghost of Tsushima.

I guess if you took Super Mario and added a "Hard as Shit" mode to it, as well as gave Mario a lightsaber, then you'd be close to Jedi Fallen Order. I play most games at Hard difficulty or above, but Fallen Order was so goddamn hard I had to knock it down to story mode.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla on PS5. Loving it; first foray into HDR gaming - never knew what I was missing out on!

I should say "loved" it, because I encountered a game breaking bug several days ago which has ground my progress to a halt. Ubisoft have yet to release a patch for the glitch, which has been present since it's release in November of last year (!)
