Yes, in fact, you're incorrect apparently for not responding to what I directed my comments to, so your issue, not mine. So I take it then you are not claiming the information from the VFX team/Chabon suggesting the designs were changed from several to a single design with variations was not well known?

Also, on the "4 Ships" issue (which I made no comment about at all strangely enough) we also knew there were "Multiple variations", I'm assuming Eaglemoss is doing 4 of them, and he is now saying 2 of them are paint jobs. I just looked online at some discussion posts, and the vast majority of people saw 3 design variations (which is also what I claimed). Ante did not pin down if it was 3 or 4 or more, but I'm still assuming there were 3. Regardless, the vast majority of posters here claimed vehemently there was only one and I pointed out there were more, so you've all been proven wrong multiple times on this point already, and also on the point above. Do you guys get anything right??

Alright kids, play nice with your one or two or three or four variants.

    Side note,
STO has the Inquiry class as 1 ship type.
It comes with two nacelle styles, "Inquiry" and "Inquiry Beta".

I guess it would've been too silly to name the nacelles the Inquiry and the Enquirer?

Aside, I hope that the unseen Seeker- and Curiosity-classes get recycled for another season of PIC. Perhaps the latter could include ships named for robotic vehicles?

This is the potential good coming out of all this, getting to see those 2 classes in season 2.

Sometimes Navies rename ships even within classes, example: The Spruance has a 4-ship offshoot called the "Kidd Class"(originally designed for Iran and now once again renamed for the Taiwanese Navy), and there are also other variants that get their own designation, like "Mark IV or Mark V.

Neither Chabon or anyone from the design team have said that. I read everything you quoted there. None of them say what Ben Robinson said.

First of all, the designs weren't 'changed from several to one.' There were three distinct designs that were approved but only one of them made it to the screen. Had there been the time and the budget necessary, all three would have been shown. You're making it sound like they mashed the three designs together to form one ship, or they just intended to pick one ship out of three, when that wasn't the case.

What 'wasn't well known' was that showing Riker's fleet at the end of the final episode was a last-minute addition. I keep pointing this out...

I think the problem really came down to the size of the fleet, not the number of ship variants. If each fleet was 20-30 ships instead of 100+, it would have been way more plausible overall and not really taken anything away from the scene. It was a mistake, but apparently someone really wanted to hit control V a bunch of times.

    Mo' ships, mo's problems?

A problem I don't think is a real problem but apparently this fight will never end.

Some picard renders from Eaglemoss. There are DSC Season 3 ships in the image as well, which is why I'm tagging it.

Ugh, I've tried but I just can't get on with those detached nacelle designs.

Nice to see that TOS-style Romulan Bird-of-Prey.

After seeing Seven/Annika's Ranger ship, I am inclined to think that she trusts things that she builds herself. And that she built that one from scratch.

Am I the only one left with that impression?

I never even considered that Seven/Annika would have constructed her own Fenris Ranger ship but now that I think of it I could see her cobbling together a crude-looking yet very swift and powerful ship that has an assembled look to it, much like Borg technology. The ship is kind of rough-looking and not exactly symmetrical.

The possible consequences of Seven/Annika's shipyarding skills for La Sirena, should they both survive the upcoming seasons, are entertaining to envision...

I speculate that she took an existing FR ship and modified it to suit her needs.
