It’ll have to be a very different game as Jordan would easily know who Superman is thereMaybe NetherRealm said they'd give his share of the profits to charity. That's always how companies get him to agree to letting them make merch in the comics.

I hadn't realized it, but it's based on the Fleischer cartoons' costume rather than the early comics' costume.
Our channel here didn't air that; is it online anywhere?
This is a compliment, but that felt like the most un-CW show ever.
Eh, it seems more like a Lois & Clark situation where the people making the show desperately want to ignore superman as much as possible, except the kids are the focus instead of mostly Lois. So barely any Superman per episode, and once the bare minimum amount of Superman is shown they then go back to the standard teen drama that CW is seemingly legally obligated to shove into every show on their network, even the ones without teen characters.
Well...that was a very drastic shift in tone and style from the other CW/DC shows. Clearly channelling more Snyder than Donner
I realise this was shot during a pandemic and that Benoist was pregnant this year so a cameo probably wasn't a good idea, but you'd think at least a line of dialogue there somewhere about Aunt Kara.
I appreciate this it's one of those "if logic happens, we don't have a story" things, but I can't help but feel like there's no way at this point in time that the ship would still be there under the Kent barn. That thing should have been moved to the fortress decades ago.
It's injustice, you can tell from Superman's outfit and the stage. It could just be the DC Vs Mortal Kombat game...
If you actually watched the bloody episode, that's not what it is. Some of that is in there, but it isn't the focus. Lois and Clark get a lot of screen time.I'm not going to watch a supposed Superman show that is actually about teenagers. The show should be about Superman/Clark and Lois, not teen romance bullshit staring their shitty CW style kids.
He and Lois were in most of the episode. They play a major part. Superman did a lot of superman things. So barely any Superman per episode
You’re wasting your (virtual) breath. Taking over-the-top negative positions about things, sight unseen, is kirk55555’s entire brand. It’s all about his idiosyncratic prejudices and presumptions. How about you watching the bloody thing instead of talking about stuff you know zero about.
I'm guessing that Captain Luthor is from one of the universes that got destroyed during Crisis and blames Superman.
5s being unhappy with something is an universal constant. If he did find something he liked without complaint the universe may be torn asunder.

With respect to the wish for Clark Kent to be a father/family man; believe it or not I tend to think that came from Lex Luthor and not Kara.I doubt Oliver could've consciously micromanaged every single detail in the creation of an entire multiverse, even with the Spectre's powers. My take is that the new multiverse evolved pretty naturally, but the feelings and hopes of Oliver and the Paragons had a subtle influence on the way things turned out on Earth Prime. This version of Superman wasn't a Paragon, but maybe Kara was aware of his wish to be a family man and his regret that it didn't happen sooner.
Anyway, it took me a few moments to figure out that Jordan is named in honor of Jor-El, so Clark honored both his fathers in the boys' names. (I wonder if their middle names come from Lois's family. Or maybe she's holding out for a daughter.) It might be a nod to Alan Moore & Curt Swan's "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?", the imaginary-story coda to the pre-Crisis continuity, in which Superman had his identity outed, faked his death, and married Lois under the new identity of Jordan Elliot.

If there's one thing Lex knows it's hell having a family can really screw things over for you and make life miserable In certain situations<--- and I'm sure he did it thinking he's going to really mess up Superman's life and make life easier for him in the long run whenever he tries one of his schemes.
Even one second of any teen drama or romance is too much and automatically disqualifies the show from ever being watched for me, and I know it has that stuff based on what I've read online.
Also, its the pilot. Of course they'll pretend its a Superman show when trying to get people into the show. Give it a few episodes, and Superman will have about as much screentime as The Atom's suit or Nate's powers got on Legends of Tomorrow, aka a few minutes per season and never in 90% of the situations that would call for him.
I’ve always thought Earth 2 is different now because it wasn’t destroyed during Crisis. It was destroyed as the test long before and for whatever reason couldn’t be restored as it was
An interesting theory out there is that “captain Luthor” is actually the missing Crisis character, Alexander Luthor Jr. The son of a heroic Lex Luthor who fought an evil Superman.
