I guess it would be like listening to music on YouTube? People do it all the time.

Oh, OK. Guess maybe it's not that weird then.

It's gonna be weird seeing someone other than Matt Ryan playing him.

I'm awaiting LG and WarnerMedia to get their act together to get the HBO Max on LG smart televisions (just got one and trying to dodge buying a separate streaming device).

A couple other noteworthy points for the new Constantine series for people who haven't read the details.
It's going to be coming from JJ Abrams, so there's a decent chance it'll be connected to Abrams' Justice League Dark series that is also in the works.
They are also looking for a younger non-white actor for the title role.

It'd be nice if they actually got an actor from Liverpool to play him. Obviously not a requirement, as Matt Ryan is Welsh and he's done a great job in all of his various appearances, but it'd be nice.

It does stink I have a Fire TV stick for a couple services missing from LG. Even then, I had to sideload the HBO app for a while as it wasn't officially available. The fights between services is annoying, like I have HBO Max "free" from Comcast because I have HBO but I can't use the Starz streaming service from my Comcast account though I have Starz because Starz and Comcast had some riff.

Well, looks like it's going to be geared more towards the Teen Titans Go! and Stephen Universe crowd. Oh well, that's okay, I've no shortage of other stuff to watch.

I like it. It looks fun. I imagine it will look quite a bit better in motion too.

There's no overlap between the Stephen Universe and Teen Titans Go crowd. Teen Titans Go is a wacky comedy intended for pre-schoolers while Stephen Universe is a heavy show dealing with complex characters with deep emotions and strong LGTBQ themes. They're completely different shows.

New red band trailer for Mortal Kombat, hitting theaters and HBO Max on April 16:

I didn't think anything could compel me to care about the MK franchise again, least of all another movie, but I'd be lying if I said this trailer doesn't have me hyped.

It doesn't seem a little too... serious to you?

I thought Mortal Kombat was a fairly dark, serious franchise?
The trailer looks pretty cool. I've never played any of the games, but I did watch some of the Legacies webseries, which was awesome, and the tone for that wasn't far off from this.
Watched the trailer yesterday, and it looks really cool. I'll definitely be checking this out on HBO Max.

We've already gotten plenty of cheese in the form of the previous two films, so I'm looking forward to something more serious in tone (though hopefully with no shortage of over-the-top action).

MK2 has a random head pop up and yell "TOASTY" during fights...

OK, maybe not so serious then.
