Spoilers WandaVision discussion thread

With Wanda and Vision wearing Halloween costumes inspired by their characters comic book look in the next episode, I wonder if we will see Evan Peters in a comic book accurate Quicksilver Halloween costume?
That would be cool. Honestly I just want any form of Pietro back into the MCU. I like Quicksilver as a character from the comics and cartoons and I'm miffed the MCU version was killed just because of that whole Disney Fox Mutant nonsense.
Even if it just ends up being Speed, it would at least be something, I suppose.

With the multiverse coming, they could always pop in on the Ultimate Avengers...
And show the Ultimate versions of Wanda and Pietro? :barf:

Yeah, from what I've read online about them, I think that is definitely a direction we do not want the MCU to go in.

As WandaVision has been described as a 9 episode series with a three-act structure, I suspect that we will have a major turning point by the end of tonight's episode.

Wait... "tonight's episode?" The new episodes are released on Thursdays? And here I've been waiting 'til Friday night every week to watch the new episode. :scream:

They can still retcon both Wanda and Pietro as the children of Magneto in the MCU. Hell, remember in the comics that Wanda and Pietro didn't know they were the son and daughter of Magneto until the High Evolutionary told them so.

They could explain that the infinity stone didn't give them mutant powers per se; It enhanced and brought forth the powers they already had.

But yeah, time will tell.

More recently, maybe 5 years ago-ish, the siblings were retconned as Inhumans to match step with the MCU... Which is not even what they were in the MCU.

Have they walked that back yet?

In another retcon in the 2010s, it is revealed that Quicksilver and she are not mutants but were kidnapped and used as subjects of genetic experimentation by the High Evolutionary, then misled to believe Magneto was their father.

Maybe not?

I can't really see them going that route since the whole reason they changed it in the comics was to make them fit their MCU counterparts better.

I doubt they'll go/introduce the High Evolutionary and go that particular route; but Wanda and Pietro finding out their Sokovian parents (who died due to Stark weapons) weren't their biological parents, and Magneto (when he's ultimately introduced to the MCU) is... <--- Yeah, I can see them doing something along those lines.

I notice they keep showing that shot of Wanda staring at a giant Mind Stone, I'm assuming it must be some kind of dream or vision or something.

It's hard to tell, but it looks like it's floating in their house's living room, so if it is a flashback, it must be more figurative than literal.

Wow. That was actually a bit of a roller coaster. Still not sure what to make of Evan Peters casting. If it's supposed to be a hint of the Multiverse, or if it's just stunt casting or if it's something else entirely. He seems to have MCU Pietro's memories but FoX-Men Universe "Peter's" personality.

I called right that we'd be seeing Pietro in a comic accurate Quicksilver X-Men costume. I should have guessed that Tommy and Billy would be Wiccan and Speed and I love that they've already developed their powers. I laughed so hard at "Kick ass!" that I had to pause the TV and and go back a few seconds to catch what I missed. I was surprised that they would make that kind of a meta-joke to an entirely different franchise when they refrained on making a similar style of Sherlock Holmes joke when they had RDJ and Benedict Cumberbatch working together.

Looks like our SWORD director is, if not the big bad, then certainly a bad guy in his own right. And it looks like going through the barrier is what will give Monica her powers. But what does that mean for Darcy? Now the whole sword base has been drawn into the anomaly and I love the fact that Wanda depicted it as a circus.

Well, at least we still have Monica and Jimmy on the outside to save the day. I read some convincing theories that this so far unnamed aerospace engineer that Monica is convinced get her back inside the anomaly is Reed Richards. Wouldn't it be something if they cast Reed Richards and totally kept it a secret and revealed him on WandaVision?

Ep 6 gives more likehood to what I feared and thats Evan Peters was just "stunt casting/easter egg" and it is not really fox universe Quicksilver. Mephisto which was a theory certainly seems more likely since he questioned Wanda like someone who had created tricks/fake visions for people and wanted insider tips. Hope its just a misdirect because I really did not want a whole kinda "wink, wink/nudge,nudge" haha we tricked you guys and made you think we got fox xmen universe tied in from the producers

Are we already sure about that?
There is still some mystery left how and why he exactly appeared and from where.
Sure, Wanda saw him as a corpse, but there is no way he‘d look that fresh nearly a decade after being shot to death.
He is something else.
But I do. It get villain vibes from him.
Maybe he is a merge of MCU and X-Men Pietro?

I do love how much fun they are having with "reality" (if only Peters had stuck around for Kick-Ass 2, then Wanda would have swapped her Kick-Ass brother for Ass-Kicker) and even poking fun at their own universe..."What happened to your accent?" "What happened to yours?"
