It doesn't need to fit, the franchise has shown before that multiple uniforms can be in use at the same time. The LDS uniform can fit between the FC and the PIC flashback ones
There never was a uniform that didn't have its own time window and only existed parallel to others. It doesn't need to fit, the franchise has shown before that multiple uniforms can be in use at the same time.

100% of the time? The DS9/VOY Uniform overlapped with the TNG Uniform.

Those pilot uniforms can be seen on extras in the Man Trap too, I believe.TOS "Charlie X", the crew of the Enterprise greet two officers from the Antares who are wearing uniforms previously seen in the two pilots.
again, all of those had their separate times and we only saw both of them together during the transitional phases. before them, it was only the old one, after them, it was only the new one. is it that complicated?Discovery featured both the "Federation Blues" and the "New Uniforms" of the Enterprise (that really weren't that new) at the same time.
Star Trek Generations showed us the crew of the Enterprise wearing two different concurrent uniform designs, the DS9 jumpsuit and the classic TNG design.
From TNG Season 3 to about 5, the first two season uniforms were relegated to background cast who still roamed the corridors.

I don't know if we ever had that phase with the DS9/VOY jumpsuit. We always saw it in conjunction with the TNG ones and the gray ones. So, I don't see the issue with there being a problem with uniforms remaining in service at the same time. I don't think we have all uniforms going in those transitional phases all the time.again, all of those had their separate times and we only saw both of them together during the transitional phases. before them, it was only the old one, after them, it was only the new one. is it that complicated?![]()

Star Trek Beyond's Franklin unis muddy that up a bit.As far as we've seen, the ENT uniforms were the sole versions in their time
We see they're comcurrent with the FC unis in 2380, who's to say when they first came into use? Haven't seen a "second contact" ship before Lower Decks.the FC ones were the sole versions from 2373-79, the LDS ones could have been the only ones in 2381
Were the Franklins ever seen in the 2250s? Mid 2160s to early 2230s is a long time, don't you think?Star Trek Beyond's Franklin unis muddy that up a bit.

Well, no. The TNG uniforms were still being worn in that time period. Indeed, the TNG uniforms were still seen being worn even after the gray FC uniforms were introduced, with the last time we see the TNG uniforms being DS9 Tears of the Prophets, the season 6 finale.the VOY ones were the only ones from about 2371-2373,
Nice to know my memory isn't completely gone.Well, no. The TNG uniforms were still being worn in that time period. Is that the only scene? Do you have any non-background running-out-of-costumes examples?Well, no. The TNG uniforms were still being worn in that time period. Of TNG uniforms during the gray FC uniform era? That happened quite a bit, but okay that was only with background characters. However, the TNG uniforms being worn with the DS9/Voyager uniforms certainly happened quite a bit with speaking roles. I mean, hell, Sisko himself switched back to a TNG uniform in Homefront and Paradise Lost. This scene certainly didn't involve any background players. Is that the only scene? Homefront was 2372, and showed that the TNG ones were in use at HQ only by then.
you do read what you respond to, right...? XDOf TNG uniforms during the gray FC uniform era? That happened quite a bit, but okay that was only with background characters.
