Oddly enough as daft as it was I forgot about Tilly as XO pretty quick and moved on. Her actually doing the job was a lot less annoying than the I'm spartacus build up. Blinking holograms I think will be my takeaway salamander moment from DIS 3
Until I see blinking holograms again I'll chalk up to Kovich being Kovich. As for Tilly, I can justify it for me. I doubt anyone else will find it as satisfying.
Is there a reason Tilly taking over as XO means you can't watch the show? I mean, yes, it was a stupid plot development, but whatever, just roll with it. Regardless, given they digitally altered Tilly's uniform in the final scene from red (what she wore when the scene was filmed) to blue (as it appears in the aired version of the scene) it's possible she won't be XO anymore, meaning you should be able to watch season 4 without your sensibilities being offended.
Of all the crazy shit they've thrown at us over the last 50+ years that's and odd one to draw the line at.
I think you are confusing Dagger of the Mind and Whom Gods Destroy. But I would need to revisit the later to be sure. It sounds like for Garth is more of a medicinal treatment, similar to contemporary antipsychotic type treatments. It was so improper the equipment was dismantled in Dagger of the Mind, according to dialog. Or perhaps it is there that serves a purpose for 32nd technology that is simply unknowable to use
Yep. The Enterprise was delivering the medicine that would cure Garth. Which Garth receives at the end.
Glad I could help. But seriously. As I said above its a TV show. They'll sometimes do things for TV reasons. It's not a science or military documentary.
Thanks... agreed... I’m probably shit out of luck...no judgement of episodes... all the randomness of Star Trek is very entertaining... just looking for the logic or explanation of this randomness concerning something (officer structure) which has mirrored reality for so many years. It’s the one area of Star Trek which has impressed me all these years. I am still confused as to why the writers would storyline something so stupid. There are many ways to put Tilly into the spotlight other than 1st officer.
Thanks again... you are amazing... I didn’t know it was a tv Show... wow! I actually thought it was a military Document. I am no longer confused thanks to you.
