As the title says - what shows or media IP are you surprised has never been rebooted?

Babylon 5 is likely to be mentioned but anything else?

Blake’s Seven - especially given the various attempts over the years. You’d think the law of averages would dictate that at least one would have gone to series

Though I'm not a huge fan myself, Firefly seems like a gimme, with a new cast - and, what with his career in a rough patch, a service like Netflix could probably get Whedon back at a reasonable price.

And, how much would it cost to do a new Carmen Sandiego game show? (Once the pandemic is over and studio audiences can return, that is). They could probably bring back Greg Lee and Rockapella, to boot.

Stargate. I don't want it to be rebooted, but it was planned and announced and then collapsed after Independence Day 2 bombed. But I would have thought that such a recognizable property would have been rebooted by someone else.

Sliders. Such an amazing concept, with iffy to awful execution. Someone remake it!

Buck Rogers, although that may be coming in the form of 2491 if that project gets off the ground.

I know there has been one attempt at a Six Million Dollar Man reboot, but I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen either that one or a different one make it to our screens. With superheroes being so big right now, it seems like kind of a no brainer.
I would love to see someone do a new version of The Dresden Files that used the plots and more of the characters from the books. I would love to see characters like Molly Carpenter, the werewolves, Harry's brother and Butters onscreen.

I’m surprised with all the sitcom reboots nobody has tried “That 90s Show”.

Frank Baum Oz universe stuff. Most of the books are in the public domain. Disney did a good job with their last two attempts to revive it, and I really liked SciFi channel's Tin Man despite some of the poor acting.

One of the most popular and well known shows of the 90's remains dormant when fantasy on television is booming.

We did get Emerald City back in 2017, which was a very unique take on that world. I enjoyed it, and was disappointed we didn't get more than one season.

I'd say The Last Starfighter, but, IIRC, its creator doesn't want a reboot... hold the phone, Wikipedia reports that "On October 20, 2020, Betuel stated that, with Whitta, a script for a sequel is being written and the rights to the film were recaptured." So, that's nifty.

I'd be fascinated to see that Weird Science remake that was discussed back in 2013, but, gender sensitivities being as heightened as they are these days, it's not too surprising it fizzled out.

I guess Street Fighter is due for some sort of revival/third stab at live action (no, I'm not counting that small-time web series), though maybe its sell-by date has past. I guess we'll see how the new Mortal Kombat movie does.

I think an updated version of the show would be great, especially the theme of wanting to do good and put people's lives back on track. Maybe you can have a guest appearance from Bakula and we can finally find out if Sam ever made it home.

    Two stories.

    Audio.

They change how space ships and I think guns work.

A wealth of new episodes with the original cast were also made as full cast play, and dramatic readings by one or two cast members.

Although the book series is back in production (did it really ever stop?), I don't think there's been a WildCards comic made in 30 years.

Wild Cards was always a series i thought could make it to small or big screen. There was interest occasionally, but it always seemed to be eclipsed by one thing or another. Now the idea of "Realistic" comic universe isn't novel, and HBO's Watchmen turned up the dial so far on social commentary comic/superhero universes that I don't know if we'll ever see Wild Cards happen. I lost my Wild Cards GURPS materials long ago, and all the paper backs when my first ex decided the covers might scare my daughter if she ever found them and threw them in a dumpster while I was at work. Where was I.

Yeah. Wild Cards. Let the Great and Powerful Turtle finally fly.
