I love how "Die Hard" Picard delivered the Vulcan pinch to "Tuvok" or more accurately, Tuvok's evil twin. How ironic:guffaw::hugegrin:

The way Discovery works, the Federation President will end up being Burnham's father (not Sarek, the other one who's supposedly dead). :D
More like how Star Trek works.
The Vulcan Ambassador- Spock's Dad
The Scientists working on Genesis-Kirk's ex and their son
The guy wanting to steal Genesis- Kirk's "old friend"
The guy leading the Romulans- Picard's clone.

I loved the episode. I didn’t expect Isara to come with a genuine peace proposal. And I think Vance made a big mistake letting it fall through on the idealistic desire to have her brought to justice.

She had been one dimensional up to this point, they made her an interesting villain, being actually willing to cease her worst practices in order to make a deal that benefitted everyone.

Also, I love the sphere data gaining bodies. But I have to call them on copying Mass Effect 3 there. What are the odds the data eventually gets a humanoid android body?

It did show that her motivations weren't 100% sincere. If she really were putting the wellbeing of her people first, she'd have at least considered Vance's proposal. I kind of got the impression she was choosing her words very carefully so as to not set off the lie detector.

Also, Anthony Rapp totally knocked it out of the park this time around.

She was trying to play the Federation to give the Chain legitimacy.

Yeah, I know. But she was offering a deal in the Federation’s best interests, her motives are irrelevant, except to the question of whether she could be trusted to honor her side. And unless she cheated the lie detector, she could.
