Yes, but can he act without moving his upper lip?
IIRC that books takes place fairly early on in the Empire; very shortly after RotS, and yes at that time Tarkin was the only Grand Moff because he was the first Grand Moff. Others were appointed later.

Obi never suggests he doesn’t know Artoo. Just that he didn’t recall ever owning a droid.

    Of course, there was R4...

Both R2 and R4 were friends and companions, not objects that Obi-Wan owned.

Yup. A short two minute sequence with like(stand in and cgi) and it has almost made up for what that moron Rian did to Luke. Abrams to. They felt the need to tear the originals to build their characters up. Horrible storytelling. Hamill 6 years ago worked out to get in shape for nothing. We all expected a real battle with actual lightsabers clashing and never got it. Hamill hated getting in shape and won’t do it again. But this episode proved what the fans had been wanting for years. It was a great bit and outclassed anything we got in the sequel trilogy. By far. Hell we even got Artoo.

Property of the Jedi Council/Order, not Obi Wan personally.

(also permanently embedded into a ship!)

He was very smart and also a formidable combatant. He would have killed Din and all of his friends if not for a last-minute Deux Ex Machina.

    hardly a chump.

Lol! The mandalorian toys are easily outselling any toys they made during your beloved TLJ era. Sorry but it looks like Favereau will be adding more of the Star Wars most of the fans like. We won’t be seeing Rey for a few decades. Maybe never again.

Well, thank god the toy sales are here to validate filmmaking quality! Whew.

We definitely won’t be seeing Finn ever again. Lol. Mostly likely Poe will never be shown again. You’re favorite trio will never ever gain the significance of the originals because they just repeated their story. They weren’t first. Sorry but the sequels are done and no one cares to explore that era of Star Wars again.

I care. But that goes against your childish concept of what the real world is and so you ignore it, and only focus on the opinions of those that follow yours so you feel happy in the world you created for your self.

    And that's ok.

I enjoyed the sequels. They were far from perfect but enjoyable. I feel the same way about The Mandalorian.

God forbid people have different opinions about things.

Sisko, Kira and Odo will never gain the cultural significance of Kirk, Spock and McCoy but that doesn't mean they're not of value.

And Sisko, Kira and Odo were in some pretty shit episodes and storylines.

Even the Corleones were in a mediocre storyline. No fictional character is safe.

Could it be that his interpritation of the code is taking off his own helmet in front of others, rather than people seeing his face? The Imperial helmet he took off wasn't his, it was some Imperial's they stole. So could he still put on his own helmet because that wasn't what he took off? Now with Grogu, that is different. That was his helmet and he was in front of others. Though it was to say goodbye to the other half of his clan.

Yeah, the Grogu moment was a lot more significant in context. The creed says don't remove your Mandalorian armor helmet in front of others. An appropriated Imperial Remnant helmet that wasn't even his to begin with doesn't count the same way, and like Ithekro said he needed to in order to access the computer terminal and learn the location of Moff Gideon's ship. One was necessity and allowed him to exercise a loophole without violating the code. The other was to express his love for Grogu and say Goodbye.
