What games are you playing currently?

I’ve been playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PS4. Really addicting. It’s too bad that it’s exclusive to PlayStation, as I would like to take it to work and play it on my lunch on my Switch or like a PS version. I think that’s why the Switch is the juggernaut this gen for video games!

I can't wait to play Miles Morales. I loved Spider-Man. I am waiting for PS5, though (guess I'll be waiting a while  ) In the meantime, I started Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

I'm playing through Amnesia: The Dark Descent right now. I just solved the elevator puzzle and 'descended.' The suspense is so good and I've had a lot of scary moments so far!

OMG that game scared the shits out of me when I played it, with headphones in a darkish room.. Had the atmosphere just right and it was scary but fun.

Also this is funny..... Perhaps the funniest thread in steam gaming.

I won’t be getting a PS5 for a while, but the PS4 disc is suppose to be compatible with PS5 (as long as you have the machine with the optical drive) and allow you to upgrade to the PS5 version for free. Or you can also do it with the digital version, since if you use the same account on your PS5 as your PS4 you can download the PS4 game to the PS5 and select the upgrade option.

I completed Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Astro's Playroom today. I already got all the trophies for Astro's Playroom and tomorrow I'm gonna start my second playthrough of Miles Morales so I can get the platinum trophy.

I keep checking to see if the scalpers have gone down in price... nope! I did manage to procure a 12-pack of Charmin today though... maybe they'll accept about $650 and a pack of toilet paper

Hey the PS5 can even play your old PS4 games so you don't really need to upgrade them, but it is ugly and pricey, it looks like an ugly wifi router

Not to mention, it's been having some fairly big issues, from games freezing and crashing, to the system crashing and corrupting the file system.

I'm building a raspberry pi 4..... for games
Yeah, I have Pi 4 too. It's a pretty sweet setup. N64 is rough, but everything up to PlayStation plays perfectly. I have an ever-growing list of around ~80 retro games I want to play and I'm going through them one by one. Who needs a PS5?

Oh joy .......$799 in Australia too yikes

Yeah, honestly, in my opinion, I don't think it was ready for release. They should have waited at least another year. I know they were likely pressured into releasing it close to the XBox, but this is likely the only gen that hasn't had a killer app at release, exclusive to the particular console, and it looks more like a console in search of a problem at this point. Games have kept getting delayed, and I'm willing to bet it's partially due to the problems that are surfacing now.

But the ps4 will still be supported for a while with games won't it? So why change so soon?

Also my interest in the Raspberry Pi 4 is not for games, I want a low power alternative for email, word processing, and youtube, watching movies. The Pi seems to fit these points, you can run libreoffice on it.

For awhile at least, like most console release windows. But from what I've heard, in Japan they're not going to support the PS4 for much longer, as I remember hearing they stopped accepting repairs after a certain date. Which I feel is rather foolish when you consider how popular the PS4 is, and how many problems the PS5 is currently facing.

Only for the original PS4, PS4 Pro and Slim still get accepted for repairs...
Sony supports the previous gen for a long time, Microsoft just stops it as soon as the new system is out...
PS3 stopped production in 2017, only 3 years ago...

That is pretty sweet.... I like it.

But I want the pi 4 because of custom cases. I want the feel of actually making something uniquely mine if that makes sense. And having many OS options

I'm playing Star Trek: Elite Force 2. I'm stuck on this idiotic level outside the ship hull where you have to shoot at incoming torpedoes. :brickwall:

I can see why this game never got as popular as the first one.
