He married and had a daughter, but that came to an end when his affair with Kira came to light.
Ew.

Why Orkney of all places? Shetland is far betterKira: After serving as the CO of DS9, Kira refused to become part of Starfleet when Bajor finally joined the Federation. She became an historian of the Cardassian imperialism, taught briefly at McGill on Earth, before retiring to Orkney.
Hey, sometimes life takes dark turns. That's a pretty dark end for Bashir!
How about no?How about: Bashir is now doing medical research on Earth and is wowing the recreational silverhaired tennis league.
I wouldn't doubt that for a second! (My choice, between Orkney, Shetland, and the Hebrides was solely based on what I thought would be the least developed in the 24th C.)Why Orkney of all places? Shetland is far better![]()
I had to throw that in after learning that Cirroc had very "adolescent" attractions to most of the women on the set.
Hey, sometimes life takes dark turns.
How about no?
I'm gonna stick with my head canon. But I would be willing to entertain the thougth that DS9 has an EMH based on Julian. Not as a CMO, but as an emergency thing.
Hey, you do you. No offense.
Maybe I have an adolescent imagination? That doesn't mean Kira would reciprocate! She's used to dating the head of the Bajoran government, a changeling, a vedek, and suddenly she'd go for an adolescent with a crush on her?
Son of the emissary probably trumps all that. That doesn't mean Kira would reciprocate! She's used to dating the head of the Bajoran government, a changeling, a vedek, and suddenly she'd go for an adolescent with a crush on her?
Bashir=Head of Starfleet Medical. Married to Ezri and they have two children. One is trying to become a host and going through the training while the other is in grade school. Bashir and O"Brien hangout again now that both are on earth but Keiko and Ezri joins in now as well when everybody isn't busy.
Well, I hope he'll be happy sharing the job with the EMH, and both Pulaski and Crusher, all of whom would also be head of Starfleet Medical by now (Beverly even for her 2nd time). They're probably forming some uneasy quadrumvirate and they hope no new 24th series come along that would expand their number further.
But why would any of them become head of SF medical? Because they are main characters? What about the scores of other doctors we didn't get to see who might end up being more qualified.
And honestly, depending on how long somebody serves as head of SF medical I wouldn't give it to the Doctor, since he's basically immortal and unlikely to retire.
But why would any of them become head of SF medical? Because they are main characters? What about the scores of other doctors we didn't get to see who might end up being more qualified.
That's exactly my point. Why would any of them (including Bashir) end up there among the millions of doctors they must have in Starfleet? I even found it very far-fetched Crusher ended up there, canonically, for a year. Yet I have seen threads on the respective subboards in the past claiming it for any of them.
Considering Bashir is somewhat unpredictable, I could imagine him doing something like that. Indeed, wouldn't that fit in better in the "Season 8 Episode 1" story than what was written for Bashir? How about Bashir decides to buck Starfleet AND the Dominion, and goes and finds the same or another group of renegade Jem Hadar and teaches them how to make synthetic White, or end their dependence on it entirely. Naturally, with the Federation-Dominion treaty he'd be working without any support and be a wanted man.
