They probably already have deep scans down to the last boson.
I'm pretty sure StarFleet acquired all the tech for the Spore Drive and will re-create it to be compatible with all current StarFleet tech so that they can travel around faster than ever.
I wish Michael had asked what had become of Spock. Or at least was seen reading a display with his history in it.
I thought it was a little odd that they didn’t just keep it in the shuttlebay, like they did with Book’s. It was clearly small enough.
Did that bubble of ships remind anyone else of the Delta Triangle? Especially since it too held a society formed by people from many planets.
Lost trying to stop the mega supernova. Unless they know he went to the JJVerse. Daniels was aware of that universe in STO.
How would she know that unless she asked?
Given episode 7 is titled 'Unification III' i think that moment is coming.
Actually, when the USS Sao Paulo was renamed the USS Defiant, it probably became the Defiant-A. That was actually what was desired behind the scenes, and in fact, because they used stock images to save money in the final episode the new Defiant was shown having the serial number of its predecessor. They didn't add the A because for one episode the cost would have been prohibitive.
The whole "keep the predecessor's registry and add a letter to it" thing has nothing with a vessel having flagship status. It's honoring a notable predecessor.
The fact Tilly recognizes what the "J" signifies means that a ship prior to the NCC-1701-A was also given the same honor.
Again, it has nothing to do with flagship status. Its honoring the original NCC-74656 for all the stuff they did in the Delta Quadrant and making it back in one piece.
You mean, exploring parts of the Delta Quadrant for 7 years and making first contact with lots of alien cultures, acquiring new technologies, etc. on the way back to the Federation (without giving up or being destroyed in the process) wasn't enough to name succeeding ships USS Voyager with adjacent letters?
One could say that Voyager achieved more than even the Enterprise-D did. Its trip through the DQ definitely deserves recognition.
I don't think the flagship of the Federation coming with extra letters is the only one to receive that 'honor'.
I think it has more to do with the accomplishments of the ships and crews.

Hadn't seen BSG, so I wouldn't know the reference.
However, when Michael mentioned the music, I was reminded of the old Voyager pocket books trilogy called 'String Theory'.
In one of those books, the Doctor (EMH) was pulled into a dimension/space occupied by the Nacene (the species that Caretaker belonged to)... there he encountered the strings (the very fabric that keeps our universe intertwined), and because he was a hologram/photonic, he was able to influence them with singing... that is of course when one of the Nacene stopped him and told him his carelessness could have caused chaos in the universe by disturbing the strings.
I don't know why, but the Burn and the music could potentially be connected this way (and it definitely seems that both are connected).
Also, Georgiou getting her head turned inside out was interesting to see.
I think she's coping upon learning that the Terran Empire collapsed long ago... sort of like her own version of PTSD.
Thinking about it... this would be her weakness of sorts because the Empire was basically everything to her.
In a way she may think that nothing would be able to bring down Terran Empire, and yet it collapsed in the 100 years since she left her universe... also to learn that the distance between her universe and prime has been increasing (this may have been one consequence of using the Spore Drive to get to that universe and get back).
Still, it may not prevent travel from prime universe to the Terran one with artificial means such as a transporter modification or Spore drive... just that 'accidental crossovers' might not be occurring anymore.

FEDERATION DEEP SPACE OUTPOST 36. Our galaxy is a whole lot smaller now, isn't it? No wonder they don't do five-year missions anymore.
