Being dead isn't stopping the character from having an active role in the show, soI feel short changed.
I was promised a trans and a non binary, and one of them is already dead.

Indeed, especially since Earth was not what they hoped/expected. They are scrabbling for something familiar, hence the tree scene in People of Earth. They didn't find it, so they went looking for it. I've found this season very character driven so far; one of my favourite things about it, actually.
No reference to Riker carrying a host around in TNG. I don't know if this is just further delegitimizing that episode, or a sign of the unreliability of information in the 32nd century, or we just have to chalk it up to Riker ("William Odan?") being a temporary, emergency host and not a long-term one like Adira was.
The computer had some great ideas to help the crew relax - yoga, hyper-baric chamber, therapeutic coloring books, interstellar shopping...![]()
It goes insert with explosive effects on active warp drives. Perhaps a warp ship or two were landed on the surface, and while they rebuilt their world after with programmable matter many lives were lost. Now why on Earth would warp going inert almost destroy a planet with billions of people on it?
Oh, to see a new page in the no-money economy debate.Imagine if Kerblam existed in the Star Trek universe.... They could all do shopping, even from the Bridge. Sir we need pot plants to place around the Bridge, shall I order some?![]()

The whole point of the Joined Trill is that they seek out new experiences. It's probable that the vast majority of them were not on Trill when the Burn happened.Watched it 30 mins ago, I give it a 8.5, good to see Trek confront the effects on the crew psyche and not act as if everything is normal when it is not. I am warming to the Adira character, still don't see a reason why she had to be so young, the story would still work if she was in her 20's and not just out of school.
Loved the scene when she repeats her many names...beautiful

Except the final conversation wasn't needed.
In fact, Grey dying at all wasn't needed.
The whole thing could have just as easily been Admiral Tal getting killed instantly in a way that left the symbiot alive, Grey getting seriously wounded by the same thing that killed Tal, and then the symbiot having to go to Adria because Grey's current condition would mean she wouldn't have survived the procedure.
I'm of the opinion that most of the unseen senior staff (CMO, Chief Engineer) decided to not go with them in the future, and now maybe Reno is Acting Chief Engineer and Culber and Pollard are acting CMO.
The All-Droid Mail Order Shopping Station would be able to fill their needs.
I thought the CMO treated Detmer, covered in blood, after the jump.
He treated her physical wounds. He tried to reach out to her about the mental ones.I thought the CMO treated Detmer, covered in blood, after the jump.
