Why make the walls brown like on the station if it was supposed to be on the Quito? :shifty:

I think DS9 was added later in production, with the need to have an establishing shot of the Quito docked somewhere.

Yeah that appears to be a Starfleet door in the back (also a floating glass)

    Maybe she’s a red Bolian?

Bolians are generally bifurcated. She appears to have a general bumpy head, although the bumps end above the nose, and she doesn't have any indication of the pointy ears indicative of the Kling-orc appearance in Discovery

No, it's from (the trailer of) episode 5. I just took a screenshot, cut out a section with the teddy lying on the floor, and rotated the image.
    -------------------------------------------------

The Vancouver destroys the 5th moon which turns the former 6th moon into the new 5th one. In ST II: TWoK it is revealed that the 6th planet in the Ceti Alpha system explodes at some point after Khan and his Fellows are send to Ceti Alpha 5. CA 5 is believed to be CA 6.
    Might be a coincidence.

The crew polonaising to the Chu Chu dance in the corridor could've been a reference to this TOS outtake (15:47)

Hovering Jellico-type babysitters, Pike's hat, a MEGO Gorn figure, Saul Rubinek (slightly altered), Pike's chairs, the creature looking like Vox sola first, Farpoint later.

    And next week: A T'Plana Hath type, a Ferengi shuttle, a Jem'Hadar fighter, a worker bee, and a K'Tinga!

Anthony was a salamander/hyper-evolved human. Another First Contact uniform, implying that the uniform changed "months" ago, or some still wear that style. The purple aliens are probably the same from Journey to Babel (and of course the Department 14 Captain was an Edoan).

Mariner knowing about Jellico is another oddly specific reference to TNG events that shouldn't be public knowledge. More ammunition for the fan theory that she was on the Enterprise-D (perhaps as a teenager) during that series. But she would have to be off before Descent happened.

Haven’t watched the episode now, but I guess there was nothing really classified during Jellico’s tenure on the Enterprise

The details of why Jellico was captain of the Enterprise started out as classified (although they might not be at the time of "Much Ado About Boimler," given that it's something like 10 years later than "Chain of Command").

But the fact that Jellico did take command of the Enterprise would have to be at least somewhat accessible. It's noted in the ship's log that he was captain, for instance, and all 1000 people aboard would know about it.

While a random person in the Federation might not know about every person who captained the Enterprise, it seems perfectly reasonable to me that most people in Starfleet would know who had captained the Enterprise, the pride of the fleet.

I am forced to wonder- does Tendi not know how to narrow a computer search? How to not include centuries of human horror stories? Or did her Caitian boss give her an exaggerated sense of what a dog is?
Addendum: are the “dog“ eyeballs with bat wings still aboard? I mean, I assume they headed straight under my bed...

Indeed. And, it's not like Jellico would be an unknown in Starfleet records. He had his own style of command, so presumably a career that would be on record for review by those interested in Starfleet. Possibly even some of his missions were required reading at the Academy.

I just assumed that because of that guy's accident, his perception of time got screwed up. So he thinks it's been months, when in fact it's been at least a year, maybe longer.

If Stardates mean anything, (and they usually don't) Rutherford's portion of Shax's [Bleep] mission begins about 17 weeks after Tendi first arrived on Cerritos, and the map of the Rom[bleep]ulan Neutral Zone is acquired from the Clickets about 9 days later. Very tenuously, (based on what Memory Alpha seems to say about Stardates from Voyager's Workforce) Lower Decks episodes 7 and 8 might be in 2381. Or not. What am I, The Department of Temporal Investigations? Anyhoo, the extraction takes place on a weekend, but it's unclear if that's Starfleet or Romulan. Do Romulans HAVE weekends?

Based on Tendi's mop and lint roller, cleaning technology is not as advanced as I'd hoped. It doesn't seem to match up with Riker's assertion in "Up The Long Ladder" that the ship cleans itself. Or... since Tendi was so eager and even Mariner secretly wanted to clean the conference room maybe some are refusing to hand this task over to automation?

"Honestly, this is fine with me. Knowing things means more work."

I think we're supposed to ignore the late Voyager wonkiness, and accept the original Okudachron idea of stardates being 1000 = 1 year. So, all 57XXX stardates are 2380. Veritas occurs shortly after Stardate 57818.4, which means they're nearing the end of the year. Given we have two episodes left, it seems like Season 1 is 2380, and Season 2 will probably be 2381.
