Using that site, the flashbacks in this week's episode cover October 16-26 2380. The premiere took place June 8 2380. Indeed, going through all the stardates of the season, they seem remarkably consistent.

I think that's a stretch. I mean, TNG admiral uniforms are the worst, along with the Federation Security uniforms.

The Anticans were Dogs, these are rats. It was a homage to the TNG episode, but they weren't intended to be the same species.

So, I was just doing some picture checks on Trek Core and noticed that Steve Levy, the conspiracy guy in the finale who Mariner had apparently been on a date with at some point prior can be seen at the Chu-Chu Dance in Terminal Provocations.

So, I was just doing some picture checks on Trek Core and noticed that Steve Levy, the conspiracy guy in the finale who Mariner had apparently been on a date with at some point prior can be seen at the Chu-Chu Dance in Terminal Provocations.

They reuse alot of character assets, which makes going through the background players very fun. I bet Steve Levy appeared even more times than this, and we can see Jennifer the Andorian also at the Chu Chu Dance.

The guy in center background at the Chu Chu dance looks to me like the curly, red headed medic who strapped down Nurse Westlake in “Second Contact”. At the time, Levy was probably licking companels and shouting that the Galardonian rage virus was fake.
Left to right in that shot I'm seeing: Conga Line #1, Jen, Mare, Asif, Conga Line #2, Westlake’s caregiver, Karavitus, Boims, Conga Line #4, Conga Line #3.

Regardless, I disagree with the categorical dismissal of "it wouldn't be tolerated" which seems rather against the principles of the Federation.

There us a fanon conceit that the UFP is made in the image of whatever cultural values of 24th century Human Earth...probably a real life reflection that some folks believe everyone wants to be American (or British or French or whatever the West values)
