Spoilers Eastereggs, references, observations, nods – the LD collection

Stardate Calculator is the site Pocket Books authors use for determining stardates in the novels, and since novel author David Mack is a creative consultant on the show, it's possible it might be being used on the show. Using that site, the flashbacks in this week's episode cover October 16-26 2380. The premiere took place June 8 2380. Indeed, going through all the stardates of the season, they seem remarkably consistent.

Thank you, The Wormhole! I've had some fun with that site.

From 1x08:
Trial chamber looks like in TUC, Roga Danar, Khan (he was a Space Seed), Rutherford's implant updates with a yellow alert sound, Nice Vulcan shuttle and Romulan BoP, very detailed Warbirds, TOS Gorn eyes, giant Spock on Phylos, ghost in the lamp, Drumhead, party reveal could be a reference to DS9 Move Along Home!

1x09:
Anticans gave up on Selay and found new lizard people? Holo Da Vinci, random Xon reference, message notification sound is the doorbell, posing as Starfleet like Dana in VOY LFAP, Shax mentions Pah-wraiths, the ship crashes like in GEN, VOY Timeless, and BEY, fight on a rickety metal catwalk like in GEN, TUC end credits.

1x10:
Sequel to the Archons, TAS Kirk and Spock, TOS = Those Old Scientists, Gamester of Triskelion, Wolf 359 was an inside job, Ransom working out after talking how he gets hard when made hard could be a reference to ENT Bounty, the amazing return of an Exocomp, the Pakled and their Mondor refit ship, the 70s helmet toy, Sequoia phasers sound like in TOS, the Titan with TNG music, Riker and Troi, FC uniforms and badges, Archer had a long road getting from there to here, Riker's warp command is jazzy!

Memory-Alpha describes them as Dog/Canine like. But I don't know if that's an opinion from observation or from a background source.

So, I was just doing some picture checks on Trek Core and noticed that Steve Levy, the conspiracy guy in the finale who Mariner had apparently been on a date with at some point prior can be seen at the Chu-Chu Dance in Terminal Provocations.

They reuse alot of character assets, which makes going through the background players very fun. I bet Steve Levy appeared even more times than this, and we can see Jennifer the Andorian also at the Chu Chu Dance.

The guy in center background at the Chu Chu dance looks to me like the curly, red headed medic who strapped down Nurse Westlake in “Second Contact”. At the time, Levy was probably licking companels and shouting that the Galardonian rage virus was fake.
Left to right in that shot I'm seeing: Conga Line #1, Jen, Mare, Asif, Conga Line #2, Westlake’s caregiver, Karavitus, Boims, Conga Line #4, Conga Line #3.

Regardless, I disagree with the categorical dismissal of "it wouldn't be tolerated" which seems rather against the principles of the Federation.
There us a fanon conceit that the UFP is made in the image of whatever cultural values of 24th century Human Earth...probably a real life reflection that some folks believe everyone wants to be American (or British or French or whatever the West values)
