Which still amounts to squat as far as canon is concerned. Take David Mack's Disco novel Desperate Hours for example. David Mack had full access to the show's set and writer's room even to the point that he had limited creative input into the show. Among his contributions, for example, naming the background characters like Detmer. Then season 2 came along and completely steamrolled over the book.

He did. The ones who went to prison probably aren't still in prison by 2399. It's almost 30 years later.

There are also a few who probably slipped through the cracks who were unaccounted for.

 

The Maquis were never "all" in one place, so probably near impossible to wipe them all out.

The "movement" was wiped out.

 

Like it or not, the following characters had a huge influence on Picard's life:

• Riker
• Troi
• Data
• Bev
• Guinan
• Q

We've already seen the first three. I think it's perfectly reasonable to see the latter three next season.
