What games are you playing currently?

Yeah, I dunno. I think people automatically expect higher framerates on PC, but like you say, on PS4 30fps seems completely fine. It seems like people are having issues when opening the game up to running beyond 30fps, say 60fps, so it seems like maybe the game isn't very well optimized on PC yet, but may be fixed via patches. The other thing is, there are more settings on a PC version versus PS4 which may impact things.

I guess so but we'll wait and see.. I am yet to do the Proving and its after that that most of the reports of crashes seem to happen. We'll wait and see.

I decided to go back to work on my second play through of Horizon: Zero Dawn. I was getting my ass kicked in one of the big fights, so I cheated and set the difficulty all the way down to story mode, once I was done I went back to normal. After getting through that quest I decided to take a break from the main story and started working on The Frozen Wilds story expansion. I never played it the first time through, so this is all new to me.

So you can change difficulty on the fly in HZD??

Yeah, you can. And I see more and more games doing that. In the past, if you set it to a difficulty level, the only way you could change it was by starting a new game. The game is a pretty difficult one, so it was nice to be able to switch it on the fly. Even then, I found the game absurdly hard during the end-boss when on story mode, and just barely managed to beat it using a sliver of health. Maybe I just suck, but wow, I found it quite stressful. Ok, that's it, I don't want to spoil anything for you.

Oh don't worry I spent way too much time wandering in the open world on both console and PC. I haven't gotten past the proving on console ...... I plan to do more now its on PC

scanning, mining and watching out for enemies. mining under war declaration. all in a night's work in Eve Online

I'm now halfway through the second area of Ghost of Tsushima. After getting my ass kicked repeatedly early on in the game, the combat has clicked with me and I am now the ass kicker  I still fumble a bit switching between stances and I die every now and then, but it's usually because I've done something dumb. I really love this game!

I’m still playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It has kinda taken over what little remains of non-Sir Patrick related life I have but hey.

Reinstalling Old Republic. I'm not a particular online player, but one day, I do plan on finishing the main storylines on this one.

^ It's funny, I watched Alanah Pearce's stream of the game earlier today. She and a couple of friends were playing it on the PC and it was terrible. The game kept freezing and even when it was working the framerate sucked.

And yet, it worked great on my PS4 Pro... I must have spent at least six hours playing over the last two days and I haven't had a single freeze or any other huge performance issues. Sure, the framerate isn't perfectly stable when there's a ton of stuff going on, but overall it was fine.

As for the game itself... the gameplay is alright. Not great, but not terrible either. The main story-related missions are pretty cool, I definitely enjoyed playing them. The side missions get super repetitive and boring very quickly though.

So I don't think I'll be buying the game right away... maybe after there's a price drop.

Well since it's an open beta maybe a few fixes. I watched youtubes of it too and it looks kind of terrible and yet I'm kind of interested, well kind of...

I've been playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on PS4. Its...ok. Human Revolution was better storywise, and outside of one terrible mission where all your abilities were rewmoved I think it was probably a bit better gameplay wise. The story in MD is really not great. A lot of stupid stuff mixed with it trying to "say something" in a really clumsy way (I'm all for stories with a message or trying to relate to real world events, but its really not done very well here). Some of the sidequests are pretty interesting, though.

For a game I got for free through Playstation Plus, I'm enjoying it well enough and I'll finish it. But, I am glad that I didn't pay for it.

Pause it and go to either settings or option, I'm having a brain fart and can't remember what they called, and go to gameplay.

It's in settings found it. Had to restore my PC because NVME wasn't playing nice and I can't get that to boot windows

I never got through that last final boss dungeon cave thing at the end of Frozen Wilds. I'm looking forward to as sequel. HZD is one of my favorite new console games in years.

playing Eve as usual. Sorry for the low rez. I don't turn high graphics on due to my potato computer. Took a break from exploring and mining to do redo an epic arc. Last few shots about to be fired from my little destroyer.
