Production Quality Of Picard

LOL ... it's a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier.
Perhaps it's a reflection of Picard's character at this point in his life?
One theme of the series is Picard's inability to leave the past behind. His wardrobe would seem to be a reflection of it.

I started the thread. Talk about anything in regards to production. The next thing that I thought could use improvement were the doo point special effects. I mean really copy and past starships. Cheap and the ship they designed to be copied looked ugly.
You probably shouldn't start threads if you don't like people calling you out on your nonsense.
The ships were literally on screen for less than 30 seconds. They were fine. How is this any different than previous treks reusing footage ad nauseum
Here is the thing and something that keeps coming up. New Trek is held to a different standard than old Trek. I'm slowly coming to recognize this idea, even if I don't agree with it. I could list example and example after example of Trek doing exactly what Picard has done. But, at this point in time, after several threads and pages, it simply is going to not line up, no matter what.
DSP did a great job with their effects as well as voyager.

Your thread title is misleading. It should be “Production qualities of Picard that you hate.” Because not only have you not said anything positive about PIC’s production quality, you’re going out of your way to just pick and choose random insignificant crap to bitch about, as if the entire purpose of this thread you created was to push your agenda of hating the show. So if you want us to take you seriously, try pointing out things about PIC’s production quality that you actually like so it doesn’t look like you have an ulterior motive for this topic.
I thought the production design was OK. But I wish there were more callbacks to the clean TNG aesthetic. You know, the bridge is comfy, displays are clean and logical. You could imagine living on the Enterprise D, it was fully realised and that’s the nice future that I’d like to live in. PIC was a bit dystopian by comparison. There was money, someone living in a weird trailer thing...
What’s interesting to me about DSC and PIC is that they look a bit generic SciFi now. I mean stuff looks good, but lacks that ‘Trek’ vibe. By way of contrast, The Mandalorian takes its inspiration from one thing and one thing only. Star Wars.

I’m not required to say anything positive about the show. If you think it looks great go ahead and explain why you like the look such as the clothes and the effects.
Then you admit that the only reason you made this thread was to purposely speak negatively about the show, rather than taking part in any meaningful discussion about the production values?

Oh my word, that video sums up for me so much that's wrong with Star Trek fans.
It is the constant need to have that rationalization explained rather than accept limitations of production, i.e. time, money, model availability, etc, that is rather odd. Some how there is still a thread about "James R. Kirk."
Now, I have no problem with rationalization. It's a rather simple mental exercise for me. But, demanding the producers answer every single detail is simply irrational.
I didn't like ENT. I gave it another shot during the first month of the Quarantine, and came away from it with a better impression than before, but for two decades my answer was a simple, "I just don't like it." If someone wanted to press me for answers, all they'd get from me is "Rick Berman's been at it too long" or "It reminds me of Bush". If they were lucky.
It's like Pepperoni Pizza. I just don't like it. "Why?" I don't know why, I just don't. One time, when I was six, we got a pizza. I didn't want pepperoni. So my mother told them, "half plain, half pepperoni". We got home, opened up the pizza box, and guess what it was? All pepperoni. They didn't listen. So I just wouldn't eat it. I didn't want it. Period. So I had something else I actually did like instead.
Some of these people here, they'd eat the pizza while still saying "I hate it!" Just like they'd watch Picard while still saying "I hate it!"
Data: "I hate this. Oh yes! I hate this! It is revolting!"
Guinan: "Would you like more?"
Data: "Please."
