Looks amazing. Billion times better than the Disco mishmash.

Amazing how a change in lighting and some added details and glows make her look great. The design is timeless, right?

I don't like Neon's videos because of the kind of person he is. So self centred, and one of those 'true canon' types.

He also had a giant hissy fit a few years ago when someone else's fan made Doctor Who intro got adapted into the show instead of his.

Indeed. The " true canon" argument falls flat for me and doesn't help in the purpose in the video. It's just to throw shade, it feels like, especially at the end.

I'm curious if Strange New Worlds will have the holographic rec room from the Animated show. We're overdue for a holodeck malfunction episode for 20 years, since Voyager.

We're way off topic now. We have a SNW dedicated thread here, and in the Future Trek forum.

    Nope.

It was still standard practice for futuristic space ships to be smooth hulled when ST: TOS was made. Matt Jefferies also had other reasons for it being smooth hulled. One being he wanted every thing internalized so the crew wouldn't have to go outside the ship to fix stuff. Another one being that it was meant to be a rather large object. Small details on a big thing disappear the further you get away from them.

The whole "throw model kit bits all over it for visual noise" stuff happened a bit later and became the unfortunate norm thanks to Star Wars.

The one where Bortus' porn addiction led to his orgy program infecting the computer?

That... was a strange sentence for me to type.

There was also the murder on the holodeck episode.

Probably one of the more interesting episodes in the second season. One of the few times Orville used social commentary well.

It's not as bad as it sounds. And it doesn't have Family Guy humour. It's never that crass.

Like what fireproof said above, it's an interesting episode with a good use of social commentary.

The pee corner. Still, I always loved FG, so the occasional crass humor actually adds something for me.

The humor is hit and miss with me. Most episodes I prefer are early Season 1 with the pilot, Pria and "Should the Stars Appears" (featuring a cameo by Liam Neeson). The rest is just OK, and never warranted my full attention. Bortus' ongoing relationship struggles interested me too. It was good drama.
